Creates and manages a process for the generation and evaluation of growth initiatives. Develops, facilitates and manages new business development initiatives. Works closely with operations, sales, marketing and other teams, making critical contributions to improve existing products and services and develop new offerings aimed at separating Renfro from our competition and gaining market share. Monitors game-changing innovation drivers and developments both within and outside the industry, keeping abreast of technology, new products and services, and operational innovations that create potential new business opportunities or threaten significant disruption to existing business lines.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Manages a process of transitioning ideas to project proposals with an objective of maintaining an appropriate and manageable portfolio of growth projects. The process should include the crafting of business plans and pro forma financial statements.

  • Presents vetted growth projects to the Leadership Team.

  • Develops and manages approved growth projects through a Stage-Gate process with defined objectives and milestones.

  • Identifies internal and external resources needed for the projects as well as builds and maintains relationships with key third parties.

  • Leads all the projects in the portfolio on a day-to-day basis.

  • Communicates progress of the projects to the Leadership Team and the Renfro organization.

  • Appropriately terminates projects that fail to meet expectations.

  • Effectively transitions successful and completed projects into the Renfro business structure.

  • Builds and leads a team to create effective processes

  • Continues to refresh product features, benefits and value ads from concept and design to development and deployment.

  • Establishes product development processes, best practices, and policies and a product management culture within the organization.

  • Evaluates program/product effectiveness in relationship to satisfaction and revenue generation.

  • Bachelors Degree in a related field preferred or combination of equivalent education and experience.

  • 10+ years of progressive industry management experience.

  • Direct experience in supervision of marketing, communications, sales and/or product development.

  • Computer experience with Internet Explorer, various CRMs, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint, Microsoft Outlook and/or other data related software.


  • Ability to develop strategic objectives and drive tactical plans to achieve objectives.

  • Demonstrated willingness to be flexible, versatile and/or tolerant in a changing work environment while maintaining effectiveness and efficiency.

  • Expertise with financial management and budgeting.

  • Demonstrated project management experience.

  • Strong negotiation abilities.

  • Strong marketing and business development expertise.

  • Strategic thinker with an entrepreneurial spirit.

  • Demonstrated excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Occasional standing while presenting the line and working in the showroom with customers. Frequently requires sitting and hand-eye coordination for phone and computer related work. Frequently communicates with co-workers using telephone, email, and fax machines. Consistent daily attendance required; occasional off-shift support required.

DUTIES The Branch Leader is responsible for assisting customers with questions and proactively offers solutions to their banking needs including deposits and other account transactions, opening deposit accounts and processing retail loan applications. The Business Development Officer is responsible for managing a small business loan portfolio including sourcing new loans, managing renewals of existing loans, and making referrals to other lines of business (insurance, commercial services, etc). They will meet production goals in new small business loans or enhanced customer relationships. Other responsibilities include properly structuring the small business loans, gather necessary loan documentation, and enter loan applications into Baker Hill.
