The Director of National Accounts Foodservice will manages all aspects of the sales & sales management activities in a specified account base in National Accounts. This includes people management (if applicable), goal setting, established measurement and ultimately attaining specified positive results. This leadership position establishes the processes to be used by the sales team including fact based selling, utilization of the customer database, career development through core competency measurement and exploitation of the Supply Chain initiatives resulting in superior customer satisfaction. This manager is the "top to top" contact and communicator between the Company and the accounts for which he/she is responsible.
Responsible for Strategic National Account 30 MM pounds or greater. Responsible for all aspect of the account, P&L, CSR, QA, Operations. Director of National Account manages Top to Top relationship between Perdue Leadership and Account Leadership for long term strategic growth attainment.
Develops and implements a National Account sales plan to include all divisions within the account. Attains all budgeted product line volumes, price, and mix and share levels.
Manages day to day responsibilities of existing business in designated territory, and grow new business with new designated account responsibility.
Manages all expense budgets including staffing, overhead and programs. Manages the utilization of the TPM system to input and monitor customer programs to control spending and attain results.
Manages all aspects of designated account responsibilities, day to business dealings with R&D, Customer Service, forecast, and pricing.
Utilizes principles of the QIP, Team Management and Supply Chain Initiatives to guide the territory.
Manages the utilization and maintenance of the Customer Database as a tool for accurate account information and management records as well as the vehicle for communicating weekly account contact updates.
Participates in a leadership position on special projects and cross-functional teams. Continuously improves skills by participating in classes and seminars as deemed necessary in the developmental plan.
Bachelors Degree in Sales, Marketing or Business Administration plus 15 years of related work experience. Management experience required preferably in the food or food sales areas. 7-10 yearsof Sales Management experience required; prior experience should include managing, recruiting and evaluating sales associates. Strong reading, writing, communication and analytical skills required. Must be able to communicate effectively with customers and suppliers. Must be able to travel to plant facilities and market areas to include overnight travel. Should anticipate spending approximately 50-75% travel time. Candidate should be able to travel to East Coast and Midwest Customers as needed.
