The Director of NAND Cell Reliability leads a team responsible for driving characterization and ensuring the NAND cell reliability performance. The team's primary functions include characterization and assessment of NAND cell reliability and driving solutions for reliability issues in collaboration with the cell, product, and system teams.

Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Drive collaboration with HVM fab, integration, process, probe, design, system, and product teams.

  • Oversight of NAND reliability methods and processes within the technology development department.

  • Define reliability risks and mitigation strategies.

  • Responsible for wafer level reliability testing definitions and execution.

  • Responsible for defining and populating the reliability scorecard.

  • Demonstrate effective technology decision making in NAND cell process and array operation.

  • Be fully aware of the competitive landscape and the threat to overall program strategy.

  • Work effectively with other department leaders to drive program strategy and initiatives

  • Review, establish and prioritize projects/processes that support program objectives and enhance organization's performance.

  • Deliver executive level updates on technology status.

  • Mentor, develop and motivate leaders and individual contributors

  • Maintain efficient and effective allocation of resources to ensure optimal performance of the team.

  • Maintain area procedures and training required to ensure legal compliance and conformance to management system.

Minimum Qualifications:


  • 10 years leadership experience within the semiconductor industry


  • Fundamental understanding on NAND cell device physics and array operations

  • Understanding of FMEA methodologies

  • Deep understanding on NAND Cell Reliability mechanisms (cycling, retention, disturb, cross-temperature) and test/assessment methodologies.

  • Deep understanding on NAND Cell usage models among various market segments.

  • Deep understanding on NAND Reliability statistics.

  • Cross-functional capability to work closely with cell device team, fab ops, PI, Product engineers, Corporate QA.

  • Ability to bridge communication between technologists, engineers, and Ops. Ability to communicate to broad teams

  • Proven track record of effective performance management, succession planning, training, and leadership development

  • Demonstrated record of executing against goals with a true senior leader mindset (e.g., builds a disciplined environment, knows when to get in the details vs. delegate)

Preferred Skills:

  • Knowledge about system error handling algorithm

Education:

  • MS or PhD degree in Electrical Engineering, Microelectronics, Material Science or a related discipline.

This position will leverage reporting abilities and driving results. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: * Developing process and device technology for state of the art NAND cell. * Characterizing NAND cell array and test structure. * Defining and understanding process and device requirements for NAND cell. * Developing, communicating, and coordinating the execution of a cell improvement strategy. * Designing and executing process experiments to improve cell performance and reliability. * Driving cross-functional teams to address cell deficiencies and Pareto items. * Updating team and management as to the status of the projects. * Supporting the transfer and training of the cell into manufacturing. Minimum Qualifications: * Knowledge or experience with semiconductor device modeling. * Knowledge or experience with solid state physics. * Knowledge or experience in programming Agilent Technology semiconductor characterization tools such as the 4156C or other Agilent tools such as pulse generators, CV-meters, oscilloscope, or automated testers. * Knowledge or experience in Python and LabVIEW coding for automated test implementation. * Knowledge or experience with stress reliability tests and techniques. * Knowledge or experience in MATLAB coding. * Knowledge or experience with Monte Carlo simulation and with T-CAD simulation using Synopsis tools. * Knowledge or experience with semiconductor device fabrication and the implication it might have on device characterization. * Knowledge or experience working in a semiconductor cleanroom. * Knowledge or experience with Micro-probing a semiconductor device. * Knowledge or experience with accelerated test for defectivity analysis and with defectivity activation energy calculation. * Must be willing to work evenings or weekends, if necessary.
