We currently have an opportunity for an experienced, self-determined, and highly motivated DIRECTOR, MEDICAL CANVASSING BUSINESS. This position is full time exempt, based in our corporate office in Denton, TX. This position will require travel to engage and support customers, attend industry conferences, and represent the company. The Director of Medical Canvassing will report to the President of VRC.

The Director of Medical Canvassing will oversee business strategy and platform development, sales, and service delivery for the Medical Canvass Business. Responsibilities will include all aspects of oversight and leadership of the business including the development and execution of the strategic plan to meet and exceed business objectives, marketing and lead generation initiatives to drive sales, development and management of a sales pipeline, key account management, and performance of services. The Director of Medical Canvassing will directly supervise all sales and service delivery personnel in the business.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree or equivalent experience required; masters degree preferred

  • 5+ years of experience in sales, marketing or product management; leadership experience in these areas preferred

  • Demonstrated success leading teams, recruiting new talent, retaining high performers, and coaching/developing team members to excel

  • Ability to develop and implement a strategic plan to grow the business

  • Ability to partner with marketing to implement lead-generation campaigns to drive new business

  • Ability to develop and manage a sales pipeline and revenue forecast to achieve sales objectives and document these activities and processes in a CRM system

  • Ability to translate customer needs and desires to a product roadmap and specific service delivery metrics that can be achieved consistently

  • Ability to manage key/strategic accounts in a proactive way that demonstrates value and ensures client retention and growth

  • Strong written and oral communication skills; demonstrated proficiency with current business applications including MS Word, MS PowerPoint, and MS Excel

  • Strong analytical skills, high attention to detail, and objective decision-making abilities

  • Thrive in a dynamic work environment where every day is different and presents new challenges

Job Responsibilities:

  • Administration and day to day oversight of the Medical Canvass business including all aspects of sales and operations

  • Management of the businesss profit and loss (P&L) to meet or exceed financial goals and objectives

  • Development and management of a sales pipeline and revenue forecast that meets or exceeds revenue goals and objectives

  • Oversight, management, and evolution of the products and services offered by the Medical Canvass business, including development and maintenance of the product road map.

  • Service delivery and operational performance that meets or exceeds performance and quality targets

  • Attend and participate in industry events, seminars, and conferences to promote the Medical Canvass business; utilize trade journals for advertising and promotion as appropriate

  • Communicate effectively with all levels of staff and leadership ensuring communications appropriately tailored to audience whether delivered verbally or in written format

  • Multi-task effectively and meet deadlines; work independently with minimal supervision

  • Build and maintain solid relationships with strategic accounts and key customers (existing and new)

  • Ability and willingness to travel up to 1/3 of the time

  • Perform other duties as assigned


VRC provides travel and business expense reimbursement, medical, dental, vision, disability benefits, paid vacation, and a 401K/Profit Sharing retirement plan.


Accepted candidates will be paid on a base salary commensurate with relevant experience and qualifications and incentives dependent on position. The Director of Medical Canvassing position is salary exempt, plus bonus. VRC employees are paid on a bi-weekly basis.
