Director of Marketing
The International Academy for the Brain (iBRAIN-Academy) is one of the largest brain-injury special education programs in the world. iBRAIN-Academy's mission is to research, develop, and implement special education and related services for school-aged (3 to 21 years of age) students, as well as the development of a fully-inclusive education model, predicated on our Common Planning and Clinical-Educational Grand Rounds Model.
iBRAIN-Academy is headquartered in New York City with current locations in Manhattan, Brooklyn and Washington, D.C. iBRAIN is expanding to add an out-patient clinic (iBRAIN-Center), as well as growing its research efforts for the brain injury and brain-based disorders community (iBRAIN-Institute).
Position Title:
Director of Marketing
Position Summary:
Reporting to the Chief Marketing Officer, the Director of Marketing is a pivotal role that combines strategic leadership with hands-on management. This role is characterized by a significant degree of autonomy, requiring both independent judgment and high-level decision-making. In this position you will strategically oversee and execute marketing initiatives across the organization. This person will be part of the Management Team and will operate as a member of the Senior Leadership Team. They will lead, inspire, and manage our marketing team all while ensuring that marketing strategies align with leadership's goals and values.
Salary Range:
$145,000 - $175,000 (based on years of experience)

Location(s):
New York (Manhattan and Brooklyn) with travel requirements to our new Washington, DC location as well as future iBRAIN-Academy locations around the country
Job Responsibilities
Oversee the marketing and communications activities of iBRAIN
Develop, implement, and assess comprehensive marketing strategies in tandem with various departments and stakeholders
Lead fundraising, development, and public relations activities for iBRAIN
Evaluate the success of marketing and fundraising initiatives and provide/present in-depth statistical based reports to senior leadership
Lead the creation of engaging digital content that drives audience engagement and measurable actions while overseeing content dissemination strategies
Supervise the production and distribution of all print and electronic materials including but not limited to newsletters, brochures, and digital platforms (website/social media)
Foster and maintain strategic partnerships with relevant local, state, and federal agencies and organizations focused on the treatment/prevention/curing of brain injuries and brain-based disorders
Manages media contacts as well as all engagement in community-based advocacy, outreach, and training to disability communities and organizations (particularly to underserved communities)
Conduct internal marketing audits and comprehensive market analysis (i.e., SWOT, PEST) to help establish SMART marketing objectives that drive strategy
Support in recruiting top-tier talent and developing team capabilities across all departments
Assists the Director of Strategic Planning in developing and implementing all of iBRAIN's strategic planning including initiatives respective P&L
All other duties and tasks as assigned by the Chief Marketing Officer.
Qualifications
7+ years of professional experience in marketing, fundraising or strategy planning roles
A minimum of 3 years in a managerial position, leading a team of 10 or more
Master's degree in Marketing, Advertising, Public Relations or equivalent business-related degree
Must have demonstrable experience in developing effective strategies and business plans across all marketing aspects (branding, product promotion, etc.)
Strong understanding of market research and data analysis techniques
Proficient in multi-channel marketing, including digital (social media) and traditional media (Press)
Broad knowledge of different business functions (e.g., IT, finance, HR)
Proficiency in MS Office and familiarity with other business software (e.g., CRM)
Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
Must have the ability to take initiative, and adapt to present needs
Must be detail-oriented, highly motivated, and team-oriented
Preferred presentation experience at national/international conferences
MUST HAVE A SENSE OF HUMOR

Hours:
Monday through Friday, typically 9.00 a.m. to 6.00 p.m., with occasional prolonged and irregular hours based on leadership/management/travel responsibilities.
