To be successful in this role, you will need to be comfortable with both technical and creative aspects of positioning IT training and have an insight into how IT professionals think and evaluate training and to tell the story of our product in a compelling, authentic, and engaging way.

Job Duties:

  • Help building company's global brand
  • Defining strategy for marketing campaigns
  • Coordinating in-person marketing events (trade shows, conferences)
  • Planning and executing digital marketing campaigns
  • Presenting reports to executives
  • Define and develop appropriate content, collateral, and programs to grow awareness, educate the market and drive successful end-user engagements.
  • Developing and maintaining demand generation programs
  • Defining social media strategy
  • Planning and executing search engine optimization campaigns
  • Design and implement test plans to understand drivers of response and value
  • Taking a global perspective to planning and managing local execution

Familiar with tools such as:

  • IBM Marketing Cloud, Salesforce Marketing Cloud or other similar Enterprise level Email Marketing platforms
  • Salesforce CRM


  • B.S. in Business, Economics, computer science or engineering; or Marketing, or other relevant major
  • Over 5 years of experience in marketing B2B business
  • Experience working with cross functional internal teams (solutions engineers from different discipline) and external (customers) for thought leadership, participation in forums, webinars, conferences, case study or testimonials
  • Knowledge or experience of managing solution evangelizing and marketing campaign associated with it and execute like a project
  • Excellent Writing Skills
  • Knowledgeable to Salesforce CRM and any marketing automation tools
  • Proficient in PowerPoint development skills
  • Knowledgeable in use of social media for business related activities (blogs, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, LinkedIn,etc.)
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with an ability to work in an international environment

VIEW JOBS 10/16/2019 12:00:00 AM 2020-01-14T00:00 The Role Hillrom's Care Communications is a product portfolio comprised of Hillrom® Nurse Call, Hillrom® Bed Connectivity Applications, Hillrom® Care Sign, Enterprise Reporting, Staff Locating and SmartConnect™ Integrations all focused on a vision of unifying the software platform to drive workflow efficiency, improving patient outcomes and strengthening patient engagement. The Global Marketing Lead, Care Communications is a member of the Patient Support Systems (PSS) business unit Global Marketing leadership team with responsibility for all upstream marketing aspects for the rapidly growing and expanding Care Communications portfolio (nurse call, mobile communications, real-time locating systems, patient engagement, etc.). This is a highly visible, role and will manage a team of marketing professionals responsible for leading the development and execution of the global product portfolio strategy which encompasses thought leadership, new product development, product life cycle management, strategic pricing, branding, market access and development, geographic expansion and overall growth strategies. This is completed by obtaining input, insights and alignment with customers, market research, sales, commercial marketing, R&D, business development, operations, strategic marketing, sourcing and external integration partners. S/he will manage multiple, highly-visible initiatives and cross-functional trade-offs is critical to maximize global investments and overall success. Reporting Relationships The Global Marketing Lead, Care Communications reports directly to the Vice President, Global Marketing, Smart Beds, Monitoring, Mobility & Communications within the Patient Support Systems (PSS) business unit. S/he will have 5 direct reports and a complete team of approximately 12. Basic Function and Principal Responsibilities Drive the overall the development and execution of the long-term global portfolio strategy including: Leads the overall definition/development of portfolio strategies and roadmap to drive market development, address market needs and achieve above-market revenue and share growth. Collaboratives effectively with global regions and the CMO organization in the development and execution of product launch and country plans to achieve category leadership In collaboration with our strategic marketing director, identifies new business growth opportunities within or adjacent to our current offerings through a detailed understanding of key market/industry/competitor/customer trends, market potential for the right segment/targets and competitor strategies. Develops strategic business plan capitalizing on future market needs and opportunities. Develops and owns the business case for new product investments and leads new product development activities with R&D Drives the development and execution of product roadmaps, requirements and profitability plans integrating inputs from sales, marketing, engineering, sourcing, and other cross-functional stakeholders including business value and prioritization of potential features and benefits Leverages customer advisory boards to inform technology & roadmap decisions and establishes strategic clinical partnerships with KOLs Works closely with our medical affairs and HEOR teams to develop and execute upon a comprehensive clinical evidence strategy that provides competitive advantage Develops and validates user scenarios, translates user requirements into R&D requirements In collaboration with business development, reviews and drives inorganic opportunities: product portfolio, distribution, partnerships Manages the strategic relationship with key supplier and integration partners Plans, executes and measures tangible metrics associated with measuring the effectiveness of assigned product(s) and programs; translates strategic plans into tactical activities with measurable objectives. Collaborates with Regulatory, Quality, and manufacturing functions to ensure necessary compliance Partners with R&D, sourcing and manufacturing to drive operational efficiency and cost improvements Communicates the portfolio strategies and secures buy-in from customers, key industry influencers and Hill-Rom executive leadership. Provides day to day leadership of portfolio team. Ensure direct staff is equipped with training and tools/information needed to complete their jobs. Location The role is located near the famed Research Triangle Park in the Raleigh, NC suburb of Cary. Relocation will be provided. Consideration will also be given to candidates working remotely with the expectation for spending 3 days per week in Cary, Sarasota, Chicago, etc. Education and Experience Bachelor's degree required. MBA preferred. At least 10 years of professional experience in life sciences/medical device consulting and / or marketing (preferably healthcare IT) At least 3 years of experience in an upstream / global marketing capacity Demonstrated career progression in previous roles Deep and broad marketing experience with, new product identification and development, product or service launch, ongoing product or service management, and lifecycle management Proven ability to influence others, including those globally dispersed and in other functions and in more senior positions Strong multi-tasking ability and comfort with leading initiatives across multiple portfolios at the same time Entrepreneurial spirit Comfortable working with ambiguity and being able to work independently in a matrix environment Strong communication skills, both written and oral, and ability to facilitate large group meetings to a successful outcome Strong financial acumen required Proven ability to lead team of marketing professionals including coaching and development Global experience and perspective preferred Ability to travel 30% of the time, including domestic and international Hill-Rom Cary NC
