The Director of Marketing Demand Generation will lead all aspects of revenue growth through marketing lead sources for a ~$1 Billion business. This position is responsible for:
1.Developing and executing strategies to drive marketing demand generation that fuels both short-term and sustainable long-term growth
2.Ensuring targets, priorities and daily execution of marketing teams are aligned with those of countries' sales teams; removing execution barriers as necessary
3.Working closely with country marketing and sales teams to ensure marketing-generated leads turn into won deals at increasing rates
Growth and share gain objectives will focus on penetrating non-customer accounts (defined as incremental revenue). This position will lead the company's efforts to develop and execute tactical plans and programs grow revenue through marketing mix of inbound and outbound marketing activities with a strong focus on web/digital marketing.
Drive incremental revenue generated via marketing lead sources (including all processes, systems, and tools to ensure high quality lead generation and efficient handover to sales)
o Deliver and achieve lead generation (volume and quality) targets to supplement the Region / Country sales growth
o Deliver year on year increase in lead generation to drive targeted revenue growth
o Build and manage closed loop lead generation process
Establish and maintain process for managing leads from Lead creation to customer order with full visibility of status
Eliminate/ Countermeasure any revenue and lead shrinkage/loss in the process
Continuously partner with Sales/other leadership to establish and maintain a seamless process of marketing lead handling and feedback. Continuously increase lead to order conversion from marketing sources by focusing on lead quality and follow up.
Build and Manage a best in class Global Marketing team
o Collaborate with country leaders to recruit and hire best in class demand marketing talent around the world
o Integrate, Engage and Develop the team to drive and execute on marketing objectives
o Identify and build a talent succession pipeline (regionally / country)
o Tracking and monitoring spend and return on investment versus plan
o Provide updated monthly forecast input
The Successful Candidate
The successful candidate will have demonstrated success in a senior demand generation role, setting and executing marketing demand generation strategies and the ability to deliver results in an environment requiring influence and leadership of resources that do not directly report to the individual. He/she will take full ownership of the issues and have a continuous-improvement and metrics-driven mindset,
Minimum 7 years marketing and sales operations experience in comparable B2B/ growth oriented industries
Two years in management consulting or demand generation consulting a plus
Strong business acumen and curiosity ability to quickly understand Videojet strategies and engage in furthering these online
Exceptional track record of developing and implementing global marketing and sales strategies that have consistently met or exceeded planned objectives.
Demonstrated results in gaining share and driving above-market growth across global markets
Experience leading or playing a key role in marketing communications initiatives, particularly digital efforts.
Ability to interact and influence at senior leader/executive levels plus interact and drive teams in functional areas
Excellent communication ability to be a good teacher
Interest in and knowledge of supporting technologies not afraid or shy of digging into technical details as needed to execute responsibilities
Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues across cultures and staff to create a results-driven team oriented environment.
Proven track record building, leading, motivating and developing teams and building a world class marketing and product management organization.
Experience working in a lean / kaizen culture, with a track record of utilizing these methodologies in a commercial setting
Ability to conduct fact-based research and analysis of market, competitor and customer data, and utilize the data to drive short- and long-term tactics and strategy.
