Protective seeks a Director of Marketing to continue the advances made in the recent past. We have recently rebranded the entire company and have establish numerous strategic initiatives which are critical to the company's strategic plan. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all marketing activities for a $500M multi-product portfolio of insurance products and will be based in our Carmel, IN home office. The Director of Marketing will report directly to the Executive Vice President and will also be responsible for managing the company's internal Corporate Communications Department.
Development and implementation of the Brand strategy and communication plan
Develop, with Sales leadership, marketing and communication strategies for products and services
Create and assist in implementation of the Marketing strategy - including campaigns, events, digital marketing, and PR
Work closely with the company's Sales & Underwriting teams; enabling them to meet their objectives by providing appropriate tools, materials and presentations
Guide the day to day activities of the marketing and communication team to ensure the companies objectives are implemented
Work closely with product management team to define marketing materials and programs.
Manage social and digital media presence and direct programs to improve social media reputation and recognition.
Undertake continuous analysis of competitive environment and consumer trends
Support and counsel Executive VP on sales strategies and brand marketing programs
Plan and manage all company events
Plan and operate within an annual marketing budget
Bachelor's degree in marketing required; Master's degree in marketing or a related field preferred
5 or more years of experience in marketing or related field required
Strong project management skills required
Experience with Microsoft Office products and CRM applications required
Ability to collaborate cross-functionally with internal departments and external service providers and partners, including primary sales agents
Effective written and verbal communication skills Strong data analytics skills preferred
Experience in insurance or financial services industry preferred
Experience working on creative advertising and social media campaigns preferred
