In this position, the individual will lead a team to drive actions derived from analysis of Micron's businesses, markets and competition. The team researches, analyzes and advises on Micron's markets, ecosystems and technologies. The preparation and communication of reports with actionable insights, the driving of these insights into real plans and the execution of such plans are key responsibilities of the position.

Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Maintain a model for Micron's NAND, DRAM and emerging memory markets

  • Analyze data to explain historical or forecasted trends and recommend action

  • Provide market and competitive intelligence on a regular basis

  • Create recommendations to respond proactively to the competitive environment

  • Work collaboratively with BU Marketing groups to help them to develop their strategies

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Requires BS/BA degree in a quantitative field, plus 10 years of related experience in research or analysis

  • MBA from a top-tier business school

  • Consulting experience preferred, but not required

Preferred Skills:

  • Strong attention to detail and focus: your work will be used at the highest levels of decision-making and stakeholders will expect to use your information without qualification or second-guessing its accuracy

  • Strong teamwork ethic and motivational skills to translate analysis into action

  • Action-oriented with demonstrated ability to lead and develop others

  • Expert knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint to perform analyses and present results crisply

  • Ability to work with senior executives and provide high quality responses on a short deadline

  • Comfort level with changing needs and priorities, ambiguity, information overload, short deadlines

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and advocacy skills

  • Familiarity with semiconductor, memory and/or consumer electronics industries preferred

The ideal individual must have proven ability to achieve results in a fast-moving, dynamic environment. S/he must be self-motivated and self-directed, but with a strong team ethic. In addition, the individual must have the abilities to work effectively cross-functionally, coordinate priorities and initiatives, troubleshoot and analyze complex problems, and manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.

We are seeking a strong, well rounded leader who works well cross functionality to shape and execute our strategy on Artificial Intelligence. Our company just announced a $100 M VC fund that is focused on AI and ML to incubate a shift in our market positioning. Responsibilities included but not limited to: * Act as focal point for various internal projects, resources and how they fit in the overall above strategies, and drive alignment/sync/execution in line with above strategies. * Drives and supports a range of strategic initiatives around artificial and machine learning technology, digital and data, partnering with both business and technology stakeholders * Understands ongoing developments in the broader artificial intelligence ecosystem and has ideally domain expertise in 2 of the following verticals: agriculture, autonomous vehicles, education, manufacturing (IoT) or health care * Supports creation of senior executive briefings for the Executive Team of Micron, the Board and our Investment Committee and other forums as required * Clearly defines strategic choices and their implications to drive fact-based prioritization * Communicates grounded recommendations to senior leaders and their broader organizations, influencing upwards and laterally to drive organizational change and alignment * Ensures recommendations are driven through to implementation by providing thought leadership and enabling execution * Develops and implements dashboards to monitor the progress of our ecosystem efforts and Venture Capital investments * Mentors less experienced members of the team.
