In this position, the individual will lead a team to drive actions derived from analysis of Micron's businesses, markets and competition. The team researches, analyzes and advises on Micron's markets, ecosystems and technologies. The preparation and communication of reports with actionable insights, the driving of these insights into real plans and the execution of such plans are key responsibilities of the position.
Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
Maintain a model for Micron's NAND, DRAM and emerging memory markets
Analyze data to explain historical or forecasted trends and recommend action
Provide market and competitive intelligence on a regular basis
Create recommendations to respond proactively to the competitive environment
Work collaboratively with BU Marketing groups to help them to develop their strategies
Requires BS/BA degree in a quantitative field, plus 10 years of related experience in research or analysis
MBA from a top-tier business school
Consulting experience preferred, but not required
Strong attention to detail and focus: your work will be used at the highest levels of decision-making and stakeholders will expect to use your information without qualification or second-guessing its accuracy
Strong teamwork ethic and motivational skills to translate analysis into action
Action-oriented with demonstrated ability to lead and develop others
Expert knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint to perform analyses and present results crisply
Ability to work with senior executives and provide high quality responses on a short deadline
Comfort level with changing needs and priorities, ambiguity, information overload, short deadlines
Excellent communication, interpersonal and advocacy skills
Familiarity with semiconductor, memory and/or consumer electronics industries preferred
The ideal individual must have proven ability to achieve results in a fast-moving, dynamic environment. S/he must be self-motivated and self-directed, but with a strong team ethic. In addition, the individual must have the abilities to work effectively cross-functionally, coordinate priorities and initiatives, troubleshoot and analyze complex problems, and manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
