Job Description

ESSENTIAL AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY

  • Lead the development of the Reimbursement Strategic Plan for assigned brands, including Coverage, Coding, Payment and Patient Access strategies through the

annual Annual Operating Plan and Lifecycle planning processes.

  • Develop the Brand tactical plan to execute to reimbursement strategy including business plans, reimbursement strategies and access programs.

  • Manage all existing vendor relationships within approved budget in compliance with Teva SOW/MSA processes.

  • In partnership with Teva Patient Services, execute continuous improvements to the Reimbursement Hotline and support services. Leverage new technologies and promotional

opportunities within Compliance guidelines. Provide strategic analysis of the program metrics in collaboration with Patient Services.

  • Work collaboratively across the broader Market Access, Reimbursement Strategies Team and Field Reimbursement Managers to ensure access to our products.

  • Provide expertise and guidance to marketing research on Payer and Reimbursement related projects, interpret and analyze findings and infuse learning's into the brand team

strategic planning.

  • Create reimbursement-related promotional materials within corporate regulatory approval processes for the FRMs and the field sales force to insure appropriate access and/or

reimbursement for Teva brands.

  • Improve business acumen of the field team and the headquarters team by providing reimbursement subject matter expertise.

  • Participate in innovative reimbursement training programs and attend customer facing meetings/conferences to ensure interactions with key industry experts.

  • Liase with the cross functional counterparts to maximize opportunities to increase access.

  • Participate in product launch teams and collaborate with HEOR to determine the evidence generation needs for payers.

  • Assess proposed and final health policy and provide strategic recommendations within Teva.

  • Represent Teva on industry policy committees such as PhRMA in collaboration with the Sr.Director of Reimbursement Strategies and Government Affairs.

Qualifications

Years of experience required:

  • 15 years in the Pharmaceutical Industry or similar health care setting.

Specific type of experience required:

  • Experience working with Medical Benefit/Buy and Bill Products.

  • Experience assessing the impact of healthcare policy on patient access and reimbursement of buy and bill products.

  • Competence in strategic planning and agility while working in a dynamic and fluid environment.

  • Strong business acumen, professional expertise along with analytical skills, and the ability to lead without authority.

  • Extensive experience in operating collaboratively with cross functional partners in a matrix organization.

  • Strong platform skills are essential to gaining alignment with senior management and building business acumen among associates.

Preferred Experience

  • Reimbursement experience (Injectable/infusible) and/or Marketing familiarity with creation & approval of Pharma field promotional materials and/or Sales Management, Customer Account Management ,or Brand Marketing Experience

  • Oncology therapeutic experience with physician administered drugs.

Summary: : Reporting to the U.S. General Counsel, this attorney will set legal strategy and policies that enable success of the Market Access objectives; enable commercial success of assigned BU. Responsibilities: * Assess and quantify legal risk and provide strategic options for drug pricing and market access objectives for $700+M USD in sales. Set mitigation strategies where applicable. As a key member of the US Pricing Committee, provide guidance on statutory and regulatory drug price reporting obligations under Medicaid, Medicare and the 340B program, as well as pricing restrictions and contracting requirements under the Veterans Health Care Act of 1992, Tricare, and company's Federal Supply Schedule contract * Provide guidance and work collaboratively with internal business clients on policies and procedures to ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory drug price reporting obligations * Advise Chief Compliance Officer on healthcare fraud and abuse risks. * Provide guidance to company's commercial organization when interacting and/or contracting with pharmacies, healthcare professionals, commercial, state and federal payers, managed care organizations and pharmacy benefit managers * Collaborate with internal business clients, colleagues and external counsel to ensure these various programs meet compliance standards * Support company product launch initiatives * Provide legal support for a range of activities associated with implementing patient assistance and support programs * Provide guidance to company regarding developments in federal and state laws and relevant litigation relating to price reporting and relevant contracting and develop appropriate company policies and processes. * Lead all commercial legal support for assigned business unit. Requirements: * Candidate must hold a Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school, admission to and current good standing with the bar of at least one state or the District of Columbia, and a minimum of 10+ years experience practicing law, preferably a substantial number of years in-house. * 10+ years experience including: FDA regulatory matters and health care law practice with a focus on pharmaceutical and biotechnology products, Market Access, Government Price Reporting, Government enforcement – federal/state laws * Experience in healthcare compliance law and Regulatory Affairs preferred * Experience in, or familiarity with health care compliance, prescription drug distribution channel(s) and contracting with the various parties in this channel, how managed care organizations are structured and their role in the prescription drug channel and the rules and regulations concerning healthcare programs (including Medicare, Medicaid, 340B and the Veterans Administration), US Health Care Fraud and * Abuse Laws, as well as general commercial contracts is strongly preferred. * Team player, self-motivated, able to demonstrate a history of successfully resolving challenging legal issues and able to effectively deliver sound and clear legal advice in a business setting * Ability to work cross-functionally and build consensus among various stakeholders while maintaining a compliant approach We are proud to be an Affirmative Action/EEO Employer.
