Dova is a pharmaceutical company focused on commercializing, developing and acquiring drug candidates for rare diseases in hematology where there is a high unmet need, with an initial focus on addressing thrombocytopenia. Dova's lead drug product, Doptelet (avatrombopag), indicated for the treatment of thrombocytopenia in adult patients with chronic liver disease scheduled to undergo a procedure, was US FDA approved in May 2018 and subsequently launched in the US commercial market in June 2018. In June 2019, the FDA granted Doptelet its second indication for treatment of thrombocytopenia in adult patients with chronic immune thrombocytopenia (ITP) who have had an insufficient response to a previous treatment. Our ongoing development is focused on ensuring our efforts help as many as patients as possible. As an example, we are conducting a Phase 3 study to treat patients who have thrombocytopenia as a result of chemotherapy. If successful, Doptelet will be the only available product for this indication.
