Responsibilities

Department: Managed Care

Status: Full Time

Shift: Days

This position is responsible for directing and conducting all managed care activities for Saint Mary's. This includes the planning, direction and coordination of negotiation, renegotiations, analysis, maintenance and implementation of all managed care agreements with current and prospective purchasers and providers of healthcare services (e.g.: Health Maintenance Organizations (HMO's), Preferred Provider Organizations (PPO's), Exclusive Provider Organizations (EPOs), governmental agencies, and medical groups on behalf of Saint Mary's hospital and related facilities.

This position is also responsible for coordination and communication between managed care and other key stakeholder departments (e.g. Administration, PFS, Care Management, and finance).

Qualifications
1.7 to 10 years experience with contracting preferred.
2.Bachelors degree in business, hospital administration, public health or related field preferred.
3.Effective communication skills.
4.Sexual Harassment training within 90 days of hire and annually thereafter

Minimum Qualifications Requirements - Required and/or Preferred Name Description Education: Must have working-level knowledge of the English language, including reading, writing and speaking English. Experience: 5 years of health care experience in a position of increasing responsibility License(s): 1. Current Registered Respiratory Therapists (RRT) by the NBRC is preferred. 2. Current Nevada State Board of Medical Examiners Respiratory Care Practitioner License. 3. Ability to obtain and maintain a State of Nevada Board of Medical Examiners Respiratory Care Practitioner License. 4. State of Nevada Point of Care Analyst POCA or Blood Gas Technologist license required within 120 days of hire. Certification(s): Must have AHA BLS and acquire ACLS certification within six months from hire date. PALS and NRP required before end of introductory period and ongoing thereafter.
