Director Of Maintenance, Operations, Transportation, Safety, & Warehouse

RESPONSIBILITIES: - Supervises all MOTSW classifications as delineated in district's current organizational structure.

• Work with the Chief Business Official in planning and new construction projects, as well as modernization.

• Review and approves all department supply and equipment requisitions.

• Prepare accurate reports concerning District maintenance, transportation, and safety programs.

• Train/confer with district maintenance, custodial, warehouse, and transportation personnel regarding methods and procedures of work, supply, and equipment requirements, solving existing problems and determining further requirements of personnel and materials.

• Adhere to required chemical notices and Cal OSHA requirements including Material Data Safety Sheets.

• Maintain an access control system, maintain key card access, and master key system.

• Maintain security systems, including video surveillance software and cameras.

• Maintain systems which facilitate maintenance orders, supply ordering system, and warehouse inventory.

• Other duties as assigned. Under the immediate supervision of the assigned Administrator, Chief Business Official.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Three current letters of recommendation (Letters must be from current or previous employers).

• Equivalent to completion of the twelfth grade.

• Qualifications include any combination of experience and training that would likely provide the required knowledge and abilities.

• Three years of increasingly responsible experience in custodial work, maintenance, and/or transportation systems.

• Two years of experience in a lead or supervisory capacity.

• Ability to schedule and effectively supervise the work of others; instruct and train MOTSW staff in the proper performance of their duties. --Please see attached posting--

Comments and Other Information

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT: Proof of a negative tuberculosis screening is required. Fingerprint clearance by the California Department of Justice is a condition of appointment after all other required job conditions have been met. Some positions may require proof of privately owned automobile insurance and the possession of a valid California Motor Vehicle operator's license. This position has a probationary period of six months.
