We are currently seeking a growth-oriented and ambitious Director of Logistics to join our growing Supply Chain organization in this newly created role. Reporting to and working in partnership with the SVP of Supply Chain, the person in this role will develop the strategic vision and manage the execution of the global logistics supply chain while maximizing efficiencies, promoting continuous improvement and supporting company objectives.
What Youll Do as the Director of Logistics:
Strategic sourcing inclusive of purchased transportation
TMS Administration and Reporting
Focus on carrier safety, compliance and contract negotiation
Carrier management to include:
Third Party Logistics operations management (procurement, lane mgmt, freight billing, audit and payment)
Less-Than-Truckload (LTL), Full Truckload (FTL) and FedEx shipping
Contracts, billing, on-time & cargo claims performance
Centralized freight claims filing and resolution
US Customs compliance
Capacity management and demand planning
Develop and manage annual department budgets and forecasting
What Youll Need to Be Successful as the Director of Logistics:
3PL and Private internal fleet transportation management experience dispatching, technology
In tune with market trends to provide industry analysis and reporting
Knowledgeable of DOT regulations such as, Hours of Service and legal weight limits
Adept at establishing and maintaining executive level KPI reporting - volume, performance and compliance
Willingness to assume other duties as assigned
