Director Of Library Services

Job Description:

Misericordia University seeks an engaged, collaborative, and transformational leader for the position of Director of Library Services to lead change in a dynamic environment. Reporting to the Vice President of Academic Affairs, the Director of Library Services provides direction, leadership, and strategic planning of library services and resources to the Misericordia community in support of student learning, academic programs, and faculty teaching and research. The Director will develop and maintain positive relationships with students, faculty, staff, and the community. This position is responsible for all Library personnel, programs, fiscal resources, and initiatives. Education:

• Qualified applicants will have a master's degree in library science or library and Information science from an ALA accredited institution

Experience:

• Ten years of professional library experience in progressively responsible positions, including at least five years at a college or university library

• Five years of supervisory experience of professional employees and students as well as experience managing library physical and virtual operations, including automation systems, online resources, and instructional technologies

• Experience with budget preparation, fiscal management, strategic plan development, and project management skills.
