What You'll Do:
The Director of Land Development supervises all land development field activities for assigned communities, from pre-construction meetings to bond release.
Your Key Responsibilities Include:
- Ensure projects meet governmental requirements, individual site plans, and specifications.
- Monitor land development schedules on assigned communities.
- Ensure completion of land development improvements for bond reductions and release.
- Maintain land development budgets.
- Coordinate the hiring and daily management of Subcontractors for land development.
- Prepare land development budgets for management approval for the entitlement process.
- Prepare Land Development budgets, projects, and schedules.
- Manage the surety process for all projects.
- Monitor and recommend adjustments to land development budgets.
- Solicit and evaluate land development bids.
- Negotiate and award land development contracts.
- Review amended contracts.
- Participate in evaluating and awarding consultant agreements.
- Manage land development consultants and contractors and coordinate with municipal and other agency officials and public utility representatives to address and resolve land development issues.
- Perform other duties as needed or assigned.
What You Have:
- Experience in land planning and development.
- Ability to plan, organize, manage, and supervise activities of direct reports.
- Highly self-motivated with excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail.
- Ability to think critically, manage and prioritize a demanding workload, and be receptive and willing to embrace change.
- Ability to analyze problems and data and recommend solutions and strategies.
- Detailed-oriented and capable of working well under pressure and handling multiple tasks with simultaneous deadlines.
- Excellent organizational skills focused on internal and external customer service.
- Well-defined organizational skills.
- Ability to effectively and efficiently manage files, both digital and paper.
- Ability to follow up and follow through simultaneously on multiple projects.
- Willingness to learn new things and take on additional responsibilities.
- Maintain effective working relationships with vendors, suppliers, contractors, team members, and supervisory personnel.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Display a positive attitude and an ability to work effectively as a dynamic team member.
- Highly proficient in managing multiple tasks and achieving deadlines.
Your Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, business administration, construction management, urban or regional planning, or closely related field.
- Minimum seven years of experience in land or real estate development, residential construction, or equivalent experience.
- Proficient in MS Office Suite.

Compensation:
Century Communities (the "Company") intends to offer the selected candidate an annual base salary in the range of $175,000 - $190,000 with the potential for other financial incentives. Actual offers will be based on a variety of factors, including experience. Employees will have access to paid time off, medical, dental, vision, basic life insurance, and the Company's 401(k) plan.
