Our client is a Boston-based biotech startup revolutionizing protein therapeutics. We are seeking a Director of Lab Operations to work closely with the founders to make the best possible decisions regarding lab space, equipment and SOPs. Due to new financing, they are planning to move to a bigger lab and need your help in selecting and preparing the lab, organizing the move, defining layouts, and more!

You will:

  • Drive the move into a new lab space, defining layout and needs

  • Establish and maintain safe and reliable lab operations

  • Manage purchasing, tracking, vendor relationships, and maintenance of lab instrumentation

  • Establish, and maintain lab purchasing systems

  • Partner with scientific team to understand research needs and evolve the space and operations to further empower them

You have:

  • BS or MS or PhD and 3+ years of experience in lab operations (biotech / pharma)

  • Managed or been heavily involved in a lab move

  • Implemented operations that are compliant with local, state, and federal laws and regulations

  • Excellent problem-solving skills

  • Managed purchasing/procurement processes and systems

  • Created and implemented new lab operation procedures and protocols (SOPs)

  • Inspired others to follow procedures

  • Built strong partnerships/relationships (with outside vendors and internal teams)

  • A genuine passion for science & developing medicines

To learn more, please see What you'll do here: The Revenue Operation Senior Director will lead the revenue growth effectiveness efforts throughout Workforce Skills. The Senior Director will report to the SVP, GM for ed2go and Direct-to-Consumer market, and will be a key member of the ed2go leadership team. This role provides a crucial analytical link between the strategies and execution of the sales, marketing, and enrollment teams of ed2go. By creating data driven insights on what is most effective in driving profitable revenue growth, this team will materially improve the choices made withing ed2go. As such, this role includes sales planning, reporting, target setting and compensation planning, and sales process optimization for our academic sales, workforce sales and enrollment teams. The role will also lead the ed2go BI efforts to provide insights to management and sales teams. You will drive major initiatives that improve the effectiveness of sales teams and enrollment teams. * Develop intelligence across all stages of the revenue funnel and implement effective plans to increase revenue conversion. * Determine sales and marketing strategies that help increase revenue. * Review and improve workflows so that enrollment, marketing, and customer service teams can collaborate effectively. * Identify technological solutions that help improve relevant teams' performance and enhance the customer experience throughout the buying journey. * Collect and analyze data across departments to help maximize sales productivity. * Manage a revenue operations team, from guiding their activities to tracking their performance. * Develop and implement tools, systems, processes to deliver improved decision making, greater productivity, and, revenue growth. * Identify and streamline the tech stack, empowering access to the data and insights to fuel the business. * Define strategy and success metrics for all revenue generating teams; including of the marketing, sales and customer success. * Develop customer growth and retention strategies. * Recommend changes for sales roles, coverage models, capacity planning, and organization structures. * Identify, size, and create roadmap for opportunities to improve processes, effectiveness and tools; Fosters environment of continuous improvement * Establish measurable, scalable processes to improve revenue efficiency and effectiveness. * Maintain operating rhythms for revenue-generating teams * Support daily/weekly/monthly operational reporting and executive dashboards. * Provide and support ad-hoc reporting services for non-standard issues and analyses. Skills you will need here: * Minimum 7 years in a sales ops, business planning, or sales support management role * Strategic thinking - the ability to formulate plans and proposals based on delivering revenue goals. * Proven experience managing revenue generating initiatives * Deep analytical experience based on data and metrics and understanding of marketing and sales tools (salesforce, etc) * Experience managing and influencing across functions * Ability to communicate effectively to senior leadership * Proven experience building and developing high-performing teams * Passion for the customer and solving for customer needs as an anchor to driving revenue. * Excellent problem solving skill and ability to diagnose and remove obstacles that are barriers to generating revenue. * Strong technical acumen and experience.
