Summary
Reporting to the Associate Administrator, this position has 24-hour responsibility to ensure efficient operations of laboratory services through clinical, financial and performance management. Requires broad knowledge of clinical and administrative standards and practices, and regulatory licensure and accrediting agency requirements and standards. All aspects of work performed are managed, excellent discretion and independent judgment are required, and decision making responsibility includes accountability for consequences and results. Functional application of managerial functions includes policy and procedure development and review; budget development and compliance; effective personnel practices; staff development and competency assessment activities; provision of inservice and staff education; and providing the vision and direction for accomplishment of department and organizational goals. Assists in directing technical operations and quality control.

Pay Range: $149,760 - $239,200
