The Director of IT will be responsible for overseeing the management of engineers supporting day-to-day IT operations, with specific expertise and experience on Microsoft 365 (M365), Amazon Web Services (AWS), various SaaS integration, and remote endpoint management. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with NinjaOne and Kandji RMM, ensuring the smooth operation of our cloud-centric IT infrastructure. This role also demands expertise in cybersecurity, NIST Cybersecurity Framework (CSF), SOC2 compliance, and general IT management to maintain and enhance our cloud-based services.

  • Lead and manage the IT operations team, ensuring efficient and effective support for all IT services.

  • Oversee the administration, support, and GRC oversight of M365, Google Workspace, and AWS environments.

  • Implement and manage endpoint management solutions using NinjaOne and Kandji RMM.

  • Develop and maintain IT policies and procedures to ensure SOC2 and NIST CSF compliance.

  • Monitor and manage IT infrastructure, ensuring high availability and performance.

  • Collaborate with other departments to align IT strategies with business goals.

  • Implement and manage cybersecurity measures to protect company data and systems.

  • Ensure timely resolution of IT issues and provide technical support as needed.

  • Manage IT budgets, resources, and vendor relationships.

  • Stay current with industry trends and best practices to drive continuous improvement.

  • Liaison with SOC 2 external auditor to scope and facilitate SOC 2 audits.

  • Understand technology controls, testing of controls, and supporting evidence to meet SOC 2 Trust Service Criteria.

  • Understand technology controls that impact on premises and cloud technology, operational risk to the SnapCare organization as well as related laws, regulations, and industry standards, specifically related to internal and cloud technology solutions.

  • Manage audit findings; identify and track remediation activities to meet target dates for closure, and track/report progress.

  • Work with the appropriate IT & Cybersecurity, General Counsel, and leadership to determine scope of SOC 2 audits.

What you bring to the team:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or an equivalent related field experience.

  • Proven experience in IT operations management, preferably in a cloud-based environment.

  • Extensive experience with M365 and AWS administration.

  • Proficiency in endpoint management using cloud based remote management SaaS providers.

  • Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles and NIST CSF.

  • In-depth knowledge of SOC2 compliance requirements and best practices.

  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.

  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment. Minimum 4 years of directly related experience in the following: managing information technology audits, assessments, remediation management, creating, leading, and managing risk assessment programs.

  • Minimum 2 years of working experience with various industry standard frameworks such as: SSAE 18 SOC 2, HITRUST

Nice to Have:

  • Relevant certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator, Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), or similar.

  • Experience with other cloud platforms and IT management tools.

  • Prior experience in a similar role within a technology or cloud services company. Solid understanding of IT general controls and activities.

  • Familiarity with privacy laws, data protection/security regulations, and cloud security framework.

  • Possess a general understanding of IT security technologies, including network, application and database security, access management and cloud security.

  • Very good understanding and experience with cloud technologies and security controls

(preferred).

What else?

This hybrid work position is preferably located in Phoenix, AZ or Atlanta. GA, with ability to work mostly remote, but can come into the office as needed. Up to 10% travel will be required for training or meetings.
