The EPIC Director of IT Operations we are looking for:
Direct, manage, and supervise the implementation and maintenance of the overall IT platform and infrastructure. This role is responsible for DevOps functions, automation release management, and site reliability. This role will oversee IT Operations to ensure successful software delivery to existing on-prem and cloud infrastructure. In this role you would be expected to be hands-on with getting work done according to the standards set by the organization. The responsibilities include overseeing multiple areas within information technology, such as computer hardware, server software, networking, telecommunications, computer support, database management, and information security. Also oversees the stability, integrity, and operation of all systems, as well as overseeing the monitoring, maintenance, support, and optimization of all network software, hardware, and operating systems.
As a Director of IT Operations, you will:
Provides evaluation and implementation services for new products, technologies and solutions to address corporate business requirements.
Has a comprehensive understanding and skillsets for supported platforms/products and environments to lead and support devops and system admins
Oversee IT vendor management and ensure compliance with company's vendor management program
Evaluates and reports on cloud and infrastructure budget Effort and activities are divided between maintenance and support of existing environments, and implementation tasks.
Participate in projects?associated with the enhancement, upgrading/patching, or implementation of new or existing software solutions.
Coordinate implementation and support efforts between IT resources and other departments or teams.
Perform daily production support activities which include: system performance monitoring, alerting, and site reliability.
Be held to high standard for these primary KPIs: System Availability, Functional Uptime, Incident Response Time Mean Time to Resolve and Mean Time Between Failures
Provide ownership of technical issues within the System Administration group
Assist with strategic planning activities (capacity planning, process improvement, maintenance, upgrade and end-of-life planning, roadmap development)
Build new test and production environments on existing or new hardware as required.
Own the design and implementation of a comprehensive monitoring and alerting process working with the devops team
Lead, direct, and when necessary, execute on automation opportunities and implement scripted solutions
Responds appropriately to changes in the work environment and emerging opportunities. Balances risks and reprioritizes.

Requirements
Proven experience as IT director or similar role
BA or BS in Computer Science, Technology
Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in an IT technical or infrastructure field.
