The information technology director is responsible for the overall planning, organizing, and execution of all IT functions at the location. This includes directing all IT operations to meet customer requirements as well as the support and maintenance of existing applications and development of new technical solutions.


  • Analyze complex business needs presented by customers and upper management

  • Ensures the consistency and maintainability of existing applications by creating, maintaining, and enforcing standards/procedures for implementing technical solutions.

  • Directs operations in executing production tasks according to a documented schedule that meets or exceeds customer expectations.

  • Directs and prioritizes the workload of subordinate personnel.

  • Participates on all hardware and software evaluations and maintains vendor contracts.

  • Represents the IT function at customer review meeting when appropriate.

  • Directs education programs for direct staff.

  • Perform liaison duties between users, operations, and programming personnel in the areas of systems design, modifications or trouble shooting.

  • Performs salary administration and conduct interviews and makes recommendations for new hires, consultants and/or replacement personnel.

  • Manage and set priorities for the design, maintenance, development, and evaluation of all server, storage, telecommunication, and database systems, then communicate these priorities effectively.

  • Define hardware and software standards.

  • Regularly establish and maintain highly effective written and in-person communications with the organizations decision-makers, stakeholders, department heads, and end users regarding pertinent activities.

  • Practice IT asset management, including maintenance of component inventory and related documentation.

  • Assess and project budget for future growth and maintenance of infrastructure.

  • Open to position growth as the company offerings expand.


  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related field or related experience.

  • Minimum of eight (8) years of experience within information technology.

  • Microsoft Certifications are a plus.

  • Hands-on experience in troubleshooting hardware and software.

  • Excellent working knowledge of VMware & Microsoft Windows Server systems (especially Hyper-V, Server 2012 R2), Microsoft SQL Server (2008/2012), and VOIP telecommunication systems Shoretel Contact Center

  • Knowledge of all common current protocols and industry standards as they apply to our systems.

  • Experience and knowledge of Disaster Recovery/BCP operations as they relate to this role.

  • Demonstrated leadership and personnel management skills.

  • Very strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.

  • Able to conduct research into issues and products as required.

  • Ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment and make sound decisions in emergencies.

  • Strong communication skills both oral and written.

  • Proven analytically and problem-solving abilities.

  • Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.

  • Keen attention to detail.
