Twickenham Advisors is seeking a seasoned investment professional, with broad and diverse experience researching and investing across multiple asset classes and investment types for UHNW/HNW clients and family offices. The top candidate will have knowledge and experience with developing investment processes and procedures, researching and investing in traditional and alternative asset classes as well as with public and private investments.

As Director of Investments your primary responsibility will be for designing, building, and managing the investment process and team. This will include conducting detailed research across asset classes and investment vehicles, due diligence, asset allocation, portfolio design, portfolio analysis, portfolio optimization and risk management. Proven experience evaluating and monitoring external investments and effectively communicating recommendations to senior management. The Director of Investments candidate must possess strong leadership characteristics to manage and cultivate the talent of the investment team.

Responsibilities:

  • Analyze and monitor critical macroeconomic issues for their potential impact on investment portfolios

  • Participate in the firm's client communication process, including written, verbal, and multimedia reports covering portfolio performance, capital markets, and macroeconomic analysis, periodic travel to conferences and client events

  • Keep abreast of changing economic, legal, financial planning, investment trends and general market and business issues

  • Lead the firm's investment committee which includes, but is not limited to capital markets updates, changes to investment processes, and responding to questions for the advisors, their clients, and prospects

  • Participate in new firm business development initiatives, including due diligence reviews and other client/prospect meetings as requested

  • Lead, manage, and develop a team of investment professionals

  • Support the team by establishing a high level of professionalism, client service, and responsiveness

  • Assist with analyses and preparation of prospective and current clients' planning, investments, and conduct in-depth client reviews to uncover new business opportunities

  • Executive Team participation

  • Manage relevant responsibilities of long-term and short-term initiatives established by Executive Team

  • Participation in quarterly Twickenham Partner meetings, as necessary

  • Support each advisor and their team collectively and individually

Qualifications:

  • CFA Preferred. MBA a plus.

  • Series 7, 65/66 Licenses

  • Minimum 10 years of multi-asset class experience in an investment-related capacity, including senior investment leadership and management experience

  • Advanced knowledge of a broad range of personal financial planning/advisory and investment management/asset allocation concepts for the affluent market

  • Prior experience in research/team management at a family office or high net worth financial advisory firm

  • Be a great team player (pitches in to help no matter how small the task) with a desire to make the whole enterprise successful

  • Strong experience leading and developing a team of investment professionals

  • Very strong interpersonal, sales and relationship management skills

  • Ability to produce well designed, professional investment memos/PowerPoint presentations

  • Outstanding analytical skills, detail-oriented, proactive, and self-motivated

  • Superior Microsoft Excel skills including advanced functions

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Self-Motivated and relentless in seeking solutions and answers

  • Proven to work independently, prioritize work, and achieve results

  • Strong risk management skills
