Duties

  • Provide leadership and coordination of the use of instructional technology in both short-term and long-term planning for all technology initiatives including vision, goals, infrastructure, staffing, training, evaluation, budgeting, purchasing, and collaboration with others.

  • Utilize Google Workspace for Education, relevant certifications preferred.

  • Responsible for data and communication system administration.

  • Develop and conduct professional development related to the integration of technology in instruction.

  • Maintain compliance with applicable state and federal laws and regulations related to technology such as COPPA and SOPPA.

  • Lead Cooperative efforts in cybersecurity, creating and enforcing policies and procedures to ensure best practices in the field.

  • Oversee major repairs to all software, hardware, and network infrastructures.

  • Maintain Cooperative-wide management systems.

  • Manage maintenance of vital staff and student records including the student information system and state reporting responsibilities.

  • Monitor instructional technology operations, report areas of need/concern, establish common computer procedures that will standardize operation of the computer program in the Cooperative.

  • Supervise technology including: tracking hardware inventory and warranties, managing inventory and reordering of all related equipment and materials, monitoring and replacing consumable supplies.

  • Maintain a comprehensive and accurate inventory of technological resources for planning and budgeting purposes.

  • Monitor Helpdesk tickets

  • Articulation with member districts and area Cooperatives regarding technology issues.

  • Attend and represent the Cooperative at appropriate meetings.

  • Lift, push, or pull at least 50 lbs.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Education or Related Field, Master's Degree preferred

  • Illinois Professional Educator License (Preferred)

  • Minimum five (5) successful years working in a school environment

  • Comprehensive knowledge of technology infrastructures and instructional technology

Salary/Benefits

Non-Union-twelve (12) month position (260 days)

Fair Labor Standards Act Exempt
