Summary Description:  Conduct evidence-based research on the university through the collection, analysis, publication, and evaluation of data for continuous improvement of programs, and for accreditation documentation. Work in support of other IR personnel to organize and accomplish institutional needs. This is a part-time, exempt role. Reporting Relationship: Vice President for Academic Affairs with a dotted line to the President Primary Job Duties:
  • Institutional Research:
    • Provide leadership over external and internal data collection and timely submission including IPEDS to maintain compliance requirements, OAICU data and other federal and state data requirements.
    • Serve as the leader for the Academic Data Team to regularly produce disaggregated data reports in order to better understand the current student academic experience and support equity and continuous improvement.
    • Assist with data collection and evaluation for university grants.
  • General responsibilities:
    • Represent Academic Affairs in committees and as assigned
    • Participate in Warner Pacific University professional development opportunities.
    • Adhere to University policies and procedures.
    • Demonstrate a commitment to a Christian liberal arts education by upholding the mission of the University and abiding by the Employment Standards and Lifestyle Agreement.
    • Exhibit commitment to inclusiveness and sensitivity in areas of national origin, ethnicity, culture, gender, and disabilities.
    • Be present in the office on agreed office times (unless arrangements are made with the employee’s direct supervisor.)
    • Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Master’s Degree in related field.
  • Experience with statistical analysis.
  • Experience with computer-based communication, statistical, survey, and document-processing software.
  • Experience using and maintaining data visualization and analysis tools (Power BI/Tableau).
  • Ability to formulate, direct and maintain plans related to institutional research and assessment.
  • Experience in higher education, particularly related to research or assessment issues.
  • Experience working with diverse populations.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • PhD in related field
  • Previous experience in institutional research and assessment
