About the Role

Resilias Institutional Partnerships team is the key revenue & impact driver for the company and supports our mission by enabling the adoption of the Funder Program for grantmaking foundations, corporations, cities and as an outcome, thousands of nonprofits across the country.

The Director of Institutional Partnerships will be a trailblazer, bringing Resilias Funder Program to Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) & Philanthropy teams at Fortune 1000 companies across the country in addition to Corporate Foundations. Proven track record of selling to/raising funds from CSR teams, deep understanding of the CSR landscape and a strong network within Fortune 1000 CSR & Corporate Foundations are a must have.

This is purely a new logo acquisition role wherein you will be responsible for forging new Enterprise partnerships and shepherding relationships all the way to close. This includes prospecting, creating and advancing opportunities, managing a robust pipeline, cultivating relationships, and effectively communicating the value of Resilia to strategic stakeholders in complex organizations.

Reporting to the SVP of Revenue, success in this role will require you to navigate the product-market fit journey while operating effectively as a stellar enterprise sales person and an extraordinary problem solver, project manager, and team player.

What you will do

  • Lead innovative deals with high-profile Corporations & Corporate Foundations culminating in rollout of the Resilia Funder Program.
  • Serve as a DEI thought leader and advisor to Corporate CSR teams, co-designing nonprofit capacity building and employee engagement programs for roll out.
  • Leverage your network to initiate conversations with Corporate CSR teams and Corporate Foundations committed to the DEI agenda, internally and externally.
  • Develop the arc of the sale and seamlessly lead client stakeholders along the way.
  • Develop pricing, deal structure, proposal, and presentations to drive forward the sale.
  • Negotiate terms and close.
  • Achieve or exceed quarterly and annual revenue goals, agreed upon in advance. This is entirely a new account acquisition role. Existing account expansion is not in scope for the role.
  • Serve as an individual contributor to begin with, gradually scaling into a player-coach role on the CSR team
  • Serve as a thought partner to consistently improve Resilias product by bringing insights from external conversations back into the company.
  • Work closely with Customer Success to set up new clients for success through effective handoffs and realistic expectation setting.
  • Work with Marketing & Revenue Operations to help the broader Revenue organization achieve its collective goals.
  • Collaborate with the R&D, Product & Engineering to continually improve the design of our solution to meet Resilias strategic objectives.
  • Represent Resilia at conferences and events as a speaker, panelist, or facilitator to improve and build on our thought leadership, with particular emphasis on corporations role in fostering an equitable society.


  • 8+ years of proven experience selling SaaS solutions to Corporate CSR teams, OR equivalent experience in institutional fundraising roles securing major gifts from Corporations/Corporate Foundations
  • Deep connections and a trusted network with decision makers at Corporate CSR teams and/or Corporate Foundations, securing selling six-eight figure deals;
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with experience facilitating discussions surrounding diversity, equity, inclusion; deep understanding of history and interest in equity, race and ethnicity, gender, the LGBTQ+ community, people with disabilities, veterans, and marginalized communities and a strong willingness to continue learning in this space
  • Solid experience raising funds for programs, projects, or ideas that are brand-new, or similar trailblazing experience
  • Experience that establishes an intuitive understanding of how complex organizations work and an ability to quickly speak the language of CSR teams with varying levels of maturity
  • Exceptional time and desk management skills in pursuit of expected role outcomes
  • Strong, clear, and concise writing and presentation skills with the ability to command a room. You are great at thought-partnering with senior leaders at such organizations and can engage the most accomplished intellectuals

This position reports to the Senior Director of VU Regional Hubs and spearheads strategic partnerships in their defined region. The Regional Director is a member of a distributed workforce that is collocated with key partners from other university offices, Development and Alumni Relations and Enrollment Affairs, to facilitate collaboration and deliver value to all constituents.</li></ul><p>The Regional Director is a highly external-facing position with an expectation that this individual will develop strong relationships with employers, alumni and other key stakeholders. This position is a key contributor to the VU Regional Hubs' engagement strategy and to the success of CAE's long-term vision.</p><p>ABOUT THE WORK UNIT:</p><p>Launched in fall 2021 under the leadership of the new Vice Provost for Career Advancement and Engagement &amp; Executive Director of the Evans Family Career Center, the Office of Career Advancement and Engagement (CAE), centrally supported within the Provost's Office, drives radical campus-wide collaboration by integrating career advancement activities into the broader VU student experience.</p><p>The new CAE division is comprised of three key areas:</p><ul><li><p>Career Center - serves undergraduate and graduate students and postdoctoral scholars while continuing to support career and professional coaching of recent graduates (0-2 years) after graduation</p></li><li><p>Corporate Partnerships - fosters enhanced employer and alumni engagement and facilitates high-impact corporate partnerships</p></li><li><p>VU Network - oversees a network of regional hubs that promote activity and engagement with Vanderbilt's growing community of students, alumni, parents, faculty and partnership corporations</p></li></ul><p>The new CAE office offers enhanced career advancement services to connect the wide variety of academic programs and experiences to student career development. In addition, the office reimagines the link between corporate relations and corporate partnerships to generate greater career opportunities and outcomes for students and alumni. Furthermore, the division will establish an &quot;all-in&quot; campus initiative that is intentional, logical, and powerful in advancing shared goals with external partners across the spectrum of areas for mutual value (hiring, R&amp;D, skilling and employee development, Social Impact, etc.). Further, the CAE office is currently laying the groundwork for the VU Network Hub, a national engagement program that identifies and stands-up regional hubs to facilitate activity and community interaction for Vanderbilt students, alumni, parents, faculty and corporate partners.</p><p>KEY FUNCTIONS AND EXPECTED PERFORMANCE:</p><p>The Regional Director of Corporate Partnerships</p><ul><li>NY delivers value and high service levels to both Vanderbilt and the companies in their defined region by fostering mutually beneficial partnerships.
