Monmouth University is seeking applications for a Director of Institutional Compliance, Enterprise Risk Management, and Special Projects.
The Director of Institutional Compliance, Enterprise Risk Management, and Special Projects is a newly created position in the Office of the General Counsel. This individual will assist with oversight of the Institutional Enterprise Risk Management Program, Institutional Compliance, campus community trainings, assistance with union matters and other special projects as assigned by the Vice President and General Counsel.
This is an in-person, on-campus, non-remote position.

Master's Degree
At least seven (7) years of higher education experience
Experience with NCAA Division I compliance
Experience in compliance and/or risk management
Experience managing and balancing large budgets
Prior experience with minors on campus compliance and researching best practices.
Strong verbal and written communication skills; detail-oriented; able to multi-task and meet deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications
Prior experience ensuring policy compliance.
Strong analytical abilities and project management experience.
Prior experience working in a union environment.
Prior experience in higher education accounting/auditing.

Duty
Work with the Vice President and General Counsel to enhance the University's Institutional Risk Assessment process and develop and implement a more comprehensive institutional enterprise risk management program.
Regular or Occasional Regular Duty
Oversee and manage the developed Institutional Enterprise Risk Management Program.
Regular or Occasional Regular Duty
Serve as the University liasion to oversee and manage the external consultant retained by the University to perform outsourced internal audit services.
Regular or Occasional Regular Duty
Review annual Conflict of Interest Questionnaires and provide relevant information to Finance to prepare annual IRS 990 forms.
Regular or Occasional Regular Duty
Oversee and manage the University's Legalized Games of Chance registration, University raffles and games of chance filings, including applications, amendments and raffle report of operations.
Regular or Occasional Regular Duty
Serve as the assigned individual in the Office of the General Counsel to participate in the NCAA Financial Aid Appeals Process.

Oversee Minors on Campus compliance, including ensuring any required state registrations for camps are filed, all assumption of risk and other forms are completed, all supervisors complete Minors on Campus training with Human Resources, and overall compliance with University policies and procedures.

Assist the Vice President and General Counsel with union matters, including labor management meetings, collective bargaining negotiations, and grievances.

Serve as the initial point of contact for the Office of the General Counsel with the Department of Athletics on NCAA Compliance matters.

As a member of the University with compliance related job responsiblities, you are required to report any and all suspected violations of NCAA rules and regulations. Additionally, you are to provide assistance and encouragement to any student athlete who wishes to report potential violations. Any compliance question or concerns should be directed to either the Director of Athletics, the Associate Athletics Director for Student Development, the Faculty Athletics Representative, or the Vice President and General Counsel.

You are responsible for adhering to the applicable rules and regulations set forth by the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA), the Coastal Athletic Association (CAA), or any other conference or organization with with the University is or becomes associated with, as they relate to your job responsiblities or the responsibilites of the department which you manage.
