Parsons is looking to hire a Director of Innovation for our smart cities initiative. This person will serve in a startup environment as a member of our leadership team with oversight of our smart city open-system product line. They will set project milestones, own schedules, define innovation processes necessary to align all stake holders in this high-impact, high-visibility role. As a product leader this person will be responsible for fostering a culture inspiring product experimentation for pushing the envelope of what's possible while raising the bar of excellence.

We are looking for a product entrepreneur who understands B2B and brings together the voice of the customer, partners, analyst, and product development together. Your comfort zone is a day that includes multiple initiatives; pitching a new concept for a new product direction, figuring out resource feasibility, getting your hands dirty with synthesizing UX data, creating detailed wireframes, implementing product requirements, and figuring out the best product implementation plan. You are naturally inquisitive and ask more questions than you get answers and comfortable with filling in the gaps. You are willing and able to become the main source of knowledge about your products and their features.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Gain a deep understanding of the market and customer to identify and fill product gaps and generate new ideas

  • Be the leader of your product area by owning the innovation process and outcomes

  • Work closely with leadership, business development, and customer engagement to understand product strategy, develop messaging, positioning, and go-to-market efforts

  • Create the smart city product strategy and roadmap working with teams across the organization to manage all aspects of successful product delivery and rollout

  • Proactively develop and communicate product story to B2B customers.

  • Gather, scope, and prioritize requirements based on business and customer impact

  • Work closely with R&D to define, scope and execute rapid and high-quality release cycles

  • Drive product launches

Requirements:

  • 12+ years' experience as an innovation leader

  • 8+ years' experience defining SaaS within fast-paced agile environment

  • 8+ years' experience as an agile product owner

  • 5+ years' experience with user studies, prototyping, A/B and/or multi-variate testing
    3+ years' experience in product marketing, product communication, or similar roles

  • E-Commerce and Cybersecurity industry experience is a plus

  • Proven track record of working with R&D and Business Development teams building software products and taking ideas through conception to launch

  • Hands-on experience creating roadmaps, prioritizing projects, producing detailed requirements and wireframing UX concepts and workflow

  • Strong analytical skills & attention to detail while multitasking priorities

  • Experience with a variety of tools: JIRA, Confluence, CA Agile/ Rally, Google Analytics, etc.

  • Strong collaboration, interpersonal and leadership qualities, with excellent written, verbal and presentation skills to a variety of internal and external audience

  • Goal-oriented and collaborative with the ability to take initiative and deliver projects unsupervised

  • MBA or equivalent business experience is a plus

  • Formal economics courseware is a plus

Fitzsimons is a 180-bed facility providing skilled nursing care and a specialized 21-bed short-term rehabilitation unit. Other services include: Long-Term Care, Alzheimer's Care, and End-of-Life Care. Serving veterans, their spouse and eligible "Gold Star" parents. The department has many duties that cross disciplines. Medically, it is responsible to monitor residents for mood and behavior and consult with medical staff after unsuccessful non-pharmacological interventions re the need for anti-depressant, mood stabilizing or anti-psychotic medication. Department staff sees that the facility is complying with Pre Admission Screening and Resident Review (PASRR) including the concepts of Level I, Level II and Post Admission Level I requirements. Financially, it is responsible to be knowledgeable and to assist residents/families with Medicaid applications, redetermination, Utilization of Long term Care requirements (ULTC 100.2), income trusts, patient payment, spousal protection, spend downs, Post Eligibility Treatment of Income (PETI), long term care insurance and Veteran's Administration pensions. Psychologically, it is responsible to offer resources for individual counseling, spouse/family support groups, behavior interventions, and meet other psychosocial needs as they arise including assessing suicidal issues, smoking and operating a personal powered vehicle. Functionally, it is responsible for ancillary services including securing the professional to provide dental, audiological, podiatry and optometry services. Cross disciplinary training on dementia, behaviors, de-escalation, suicide, elopement, resident rights, dignity and others as requested is required to be presented on an annual basis. Clinically, it must perform initial, annual and quarterly assessment, develop and revise care plans, do psychosocial sections on the Minimum Data Set (MDS) do progress notes, administer the PHQ-9 Depression Screen and BIMS Cognitive Screen, advance directives utilizing the MOST form, and do discharge planning. Administratively, it is responsible for the completion/review/revision of plethora of policies and procedures, to investigate and report abuse/neglect occurrences, and administer the concern/complaint program. The department also consults with ombudsman, Veteran's Service Officer, Aurora Police Department, ancillary service providers, mental health providers, county departments of Human Services, hospices, home health agencies and others. About this Position: Position serves as Director of the Department and a member of the Leadership team in the facility with a multitude of supervisory and administrative duties. Social Services Director possess the expertise clinically, administratively, interpersonally to know every aspect of the department, exercise judgment to evaluate needs and formulate solutions to departmental problems and regulatory changes and to successful interface with the other departments in the building and their staff including RNs, LPNs, CNAs, maintenance personnel, housekeepers, dietary staff, dieticians, therapists, business office, support staff, and recreation staff. The Social Service department provides education and training to employees, residents and families. The Director provides the oversight and direction to the social services department such that their tasks are completed in a timely, competent and comprehensive fashion through supervisory meetings and regular chart auditing. The Director must be prepared to handle psychological, psychosocial, and regulatory issues across the facility. Duties: * Director of the Department of Social Services. Provide management to and oversight of four Social Services Professionals. * Supervises the work in bi monthly supervisory meetings and regular clinical chart audits. Responds to regular requests for direction and clarification that arise from the staff. * Provides psychosocial, social service expertise, analysis and judgment to staff and other department staff in dealing with the complications that arise in treating approximately 180 residents with serious medical and psychiatric diagnoses and problems, their multifaceted families and interfacing with numerous multidisciplinary service providers. * Responsible for establishing a team environment within the social service department, this includes the director assisting the other social workers with meeting deadlines and completing task to ensure best practices are enforced. * The Director works collaboratively with the social service team and Nursing Home Administrator develop, review and update departmental policy/ procedures as new processes/problems arise. This position performs yearly and as needed updates on existing policies/procedures. * Educates other departments on social services policies and intervenes if another department has conflicts with a social services policy. * The Director assumes responsibility for the neighborhoods in the facility upon the absence of any of the social services assistants (such as sick, vacation, family medical leave). * This position may conduct support group for spouses/ families and clinical groups for residents, as needed. * The Director intervenes for emerging behaviors by the residents or to assist with discontented families. * The Social Services Director advocates for all residents in the building, knows resident rights as defined by law and assists as the voice of the resident to advocates in treatment issues. * On a daily basis, the director gathers complaints, informs the appropriate department of the complaint and sees that follow up is done with the resident/family complainant. Minimum Qualifications, Substitutions, Conditions of Employment & Appeal Rights Minimum Qualifications: Education: Bachelor's degree in Social Work or related field. Experience: Four years of experience in a Supervisor or Director level role for a Social Services department or organization specializing in long-term or geriatric care. Substitutions: Additional appropriate experience, as outlined above, will substitute for the degree requirement on a year-for-year basis. Additional appropriate education will substitute for the required experience on a year-for-year basis.
