Job Summary

Job Summary:

Working as a Director of Infrastructure Projects, you are responsible for planning, organizing, and controlling functions and activities related to all on going and upcoming infrastructure projects.


  • Manage Project Group personnel including conducting performance reviews and addressing human resource issues.

  • Oversee the implementation of all of the Project Group's activities including but not limited to: feasibility studies, project budgeting, qualifying vendors, bidding, vendor contracts, project finances, pre-construction, construction, schedules, document management and project closeout.

  • Ensure the project group is performing work in accordance with the Project Management Policies and Procedures.

  • Ensure project schedules are prepared and updated for all projects.

  • Ensure that all projects are sufficiently evaluated for operational impact in accordance with the facilities policies and procedures.

  • Ensure all projects are performed in accordance with facility environmental and safety policies.

  • Ensure the project group is effectively utilizing the project management software.

  • Review and approve vendor site access and construction staging areas.

  • Review RFP's and scope of work documents, prior to being issued, for all of the group's projects.

  • Lead the effort to prioritize and select capital infrastructure projects in collaboration with key Hospital and Facilities Engineering personnel.

  • Collaborate with Hospital leadership & Facilities Engineering personnel to establish project scope of work.

  • Oversee the preparation of project cost estimates and budgets. Prepare and submit all project funding requests.

  • Maintain a 5-year capital plan.

  • Maintain a master project tracking report that identifies project status, budgets, actuals and 5-year spend projections.

  • Present project status to Hospital leadership.

  • Directly manage projects and perform project management responsibilities as needed to implement project portfolio.

  • Review and approve all RFP's/Bid Packages and bidders lists.

  • Participate in bid reviews and vendor selection.

  • Facilitate the execution of contracts between vendors and Owner including becoming familiar with contract terms and conditions.

  • Ensure facility design standards are maintained.


  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent related experience preferred

  • Experience in hospital project and construction management preferred

  • PE highly preferred

  • OSHA 30 hr certification
