The Director Human Resources is responsible for managing all aspects of Human Resources activities on behalf of Iskalo Development Corp in addition to supporting the HR function for affiliate companies. The Director of Human Resources is responsible for the successful delivery of HR services, providing assistance in many areas such as employee retention, new employee recruitment and onboarding, internal employee service initiatives and general HR functions.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of proven leadership and success in all areas of human resources, benefits, recruiting, and employee relations

  • PHR or SPHR designation preferred

  • Must have the highest degree of integrity, enthusiasm, and willingness to represent company in the most professional, positive manner

  • Excellent oral and written communications skills, and professional interpersonal skills; ability to interact and communicate effectively with people at all organizational levels

  • Ability to build and facilitate trusted partnerships

  • Strong analytical skills needed to manage time well, prioritize effectively and handle multiple deadlines.

  • Knowledge of MS-Office tools

  • Word, Excel, Project and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

  • Provide organizational support in the management of all aspects of Human Resources activities for corporate organization in addition to affiliate companies as required

  • Participate in organizational discussions with executive management regarding business updates, company culture, staffing needs and recruitment/retention initiatives

  • Manage full cycle recruitment process from sourcing to onboarding (and all processes in between)

  • Primary point of contact for all Health and Welfare benefits involved in the identification, , implementation, and management of company benefit packages including, but not limited to, recommending health, dental, pension (Simple IRA), disability and other voluntary benefits. Administer programs including enrollment, termination, and COBRA compliance. Review and submit invoices for payment

  • Administer all leave programs from employee guidance to submission of claims

  • Maintain time off tracking including PTO, STD, PFL and FMLA

  • Maintain employee handbook ensuring Company policy and procedures are up to date and in compliance; ensure all Company policies are enforced

  • Develop and implement processes for employee performance reviews, goal setting and career development

  • Ensure compliance with all state and federal mandates pertaining to HR and payroll related matters

  • Develop and maintain on-boarding processes for newly hired employees

  • Advise Managers/Supervisors in appropriate resolution of employee relations issues. Mentor managers on all matters pertaining to labor laws

  • Prepare employee separation notices and related documentation and conduct exit interviews

  • Be a valuable resource to all employees for questions and assistance relating to human resources, relations and benefits

  • Maintain awareness of legal requirements and emerging trends

  • Administer payroll process using Paychex Flex

  • Support employees with any payroll queries as required

Physical Demands

  • Work performed in a modern, well-lit office setting

  • Willingness to travel between different sites

  • Use of various computer software programs including Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint in addition to standard office equipment (phone, computer, calculator, copier, fax)

  • Valid driver license and use of personal vehicle for travel to properties

  • Ability to walk, bend, lift, stand, sit, and work at computer for extended periods of time

  • Must be able to climb stairs

Salary

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $75,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday
