Description

Summary & Purpose

Primary purpose of the Director of Team Engagement is to provide assistance in all Team Engagement functions as directed/instructed in accordance with established Team Engagement policies and procedures governing Byron Wellness communities as well with federal, state and local regulations.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Collaborates with senior leadership to understand the organizations goals and strategy related to staffing, recruiting, and retention.

  • Plans, leads, develops, coordinates, and implements policies, processes, training, initiatives, and surveys to support the organization's team engagement compliance and strategy needs.

  • Administers or oversees the administration of team engagement programs including, but not limited to, compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development.

  • Conducts research and analysis of organizational trends including review of reports and metrics from the organization's talent management system.

  • Monitors and ensures the organization's compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices.

  • Maintains and applies knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.

  • Facilitates professional development, training, and certification activities for team engagement staff.

  • Instruct new hires on procedures to complete hiring process.

  • Attends Tuition Assistance Committee meetings and record minutes of the meeting.

  • Attends Leadership meeting and other meetings as requested.

  • Assist employees with Human Resource related issues and refer to appropriate areas/individuals when necessary. Respond to requests for income verification, employment verification per employee's needs and forms for assistance through FSSA and other agencies.

  • Maintain current and terminated employee personnel files in accordance with State Regulations and department guidelines.

  • Enroll and maintain employee insurance information and entry of payroll deductions. Handle LOA insurance payments. Reconcile all monthly insurance statements of all employee insurance categories as well as enroll and term employees upon hire and termination.

  • Implements recommendations from Safety, and QAPI Committees, etc., as directed/necessary.

  • Report known or suspected incidents of fraud to the Executive Director.

Requirements

Required Qualifications

  • Must possess, as a minimum, a Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field.

  • Two years of relevant work experience in healthcare preferred.

  • SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP highly preferred.

Working Conditions & Physical Requirements (With or Without the Aid of Mechanical Devices)

  • Works in office areas as well as throughout the community.

  • Moves intermittently during working hours and is subject to frequent interruptions.

  • Is involved with residents, personnel, visitors, government agencies/personnel, etc., under all conditions and circumstances.

  • Is subject to emotionally upset residents, family members, personnel, and visitors.

  • Works beyond normal working hours and on weekends and holidays when necessary.

  • Is subject to call back during emergency conditions (e.g., severe weather, evacuation, post-disaster, etc.) as well as assist in the evacuation of residents during emergency situations.

  • May be subject to injury from falls, burns from equipment, odors, etc., throughout the workday as well to as reactions from dust, disinfectants, tobacco smoke, and other air contaminants.

  • Must meet the general health requirements set forth by the policies of this facility, which includes a medical and physical examination.

  • Must be able to push, pull, move, and/or lift a minimum of 50 pounds to a minimum height of 5 feet and be able to push, pull, move, and/or carry such weight a minimum distance of 50 feet.

  • Must not pose a direct threat to the health and safety of other individuals in the workplace.

Salary Description

$62,400 - $68,240
