AUBURN UNIVERSITY AT MONTGOMERY Office of the Provost seeks a Director of the Honors Program POSITION DESCRIPTION The Office of the Provost at Auburn University at Montgomery, invites applicants for the position of Director of the Honors Program.
The Director serves as the chief academic and administrative officer of the Honors Program and reports directly to the Associate Provost for Undergraduate Studies.
The ideal candidate is an innovative, impassioned individual with a terminal degree and record of scholarly work sufficient to qualify for a tenure track position at the rank of Associate Professor in a College at Auburn University at Montgomery.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS PhD in a relevant field; Extensive experience teaching Honors courses and leadership of an Honors program at the department/program level or above.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS An ability to successfully recruit and interact with a diverse student population; Demonstrated ability to be an effective collaborator and consensus builder who can communicate with multiple constituencies and build partnerships with other colleges and universities, government agencies, stakeholders and corporations.
