Director Home Health/Hospice

As the Director of Home Health/Hospice you'll be responsible for providing direction to the skilled nursing and other services furnished for GVH patients. Plan and organize the overall operation of the Agency. Requirements:

To be seriously considered for this role, you'll need to have:

  • Education
  • Bachelor of Science is preferred.
  • Experience
  • At least 2 years experience in healthcare or healthcare service administration. Must have at least 1 year supervisory experience in home care or a closely related health program.
  • Licenses/Certifications: Must have a valid CO driver's license within 30 days of hire.

Skills:

  • Leading a high functioning team, including offering learning opportunities for continual growth and development.

  • Ability to perform financial analytics

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with clear/concise delivery

  • Ability to exercise sound judgement, determine priorities, and manage time

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

Responsibilities:

As the Director of Home Health & Hospice at Gunnison Valley Health, you will assume responsibility for the administration and management of the department. You'll plan, organize, direct, coordinate and control the resources to achieve department objectives. You'll utilize your unique skills and ideas by:

  • Ensuring all health services are in compliance with all applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations.

  • Acting as the ongoing liaison with the GVH Board of Trustees, home health and hospice advisory boards, staff members, volunteers and the community.

  • Implementing the Quality Assessment, Performance Improvement, and OBQI program.

  • Managing a team by helping facilitate goal setting, training and coaching opportunities, and working with staff to maximize productivity and engagement.

  • Maintaining and establishing department policies, standard operating procedures, strategic plan objectives, process improvement activities and safety and regulatory standards.

  • Participating in health system meetings and trainings to collaborate improvement of system operations.

Benefits Eligibility:

Medical, dental, vision, healthcare FSA, dependent care FSA, and Lifestyle Spending Account: All active employees working 40 or more hours per pay period in a Full Time or a Part Time position are eligible for benefits on the first of the month after hire.

Life and AD&D insurance: All active employees working 40 or more hours per pay period are eligible for benefits on the first of the month after hire date.

Short term and long term disability: All active employees working 60 or more hours per pay period are eligible for benefits on the first of the month after hire date.

Compensation: $42.55 - $53.90/hour DOE
