PruittHealth Hospice - Fayetteville, NCPOSITION SUMMARY:24-hour accountability administrative authority responsible for the delivery of hospice services in the facility and partnering with home care. Manage employees in the provision of care and services per professional standards of nursing practice, corporate philosophy and state and federal laws and regulations.ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS, DUTIES, AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Directly oversees the delivery of hospice care to residents to ensure that emotional, physical, psychological and safety needs are met through all program services and activities.

Coordinates, along with the Senior Care Partner, and family/resident care conferences and serves as a direct liaison between residents, families, and staff. Manages labor costs, supplies and other line items in the facility's budget. Works with residents, families and other staff to ensure that residents are at appropriate levels of care.

Develops and/or monitors documentation systems to ensure that all regulatory timeframes for review of assessments and service plans are met and that resident needs are met. Assesses potential residents for assisted living level of care. Schedules and conducts new resident orientation for all residents.

Writes and reviews residents assessments and care plans with appropriate staff. Plans and schedules staff training programs and in services for the staff. Ensures compliance with all state regulatory requirements including mandatory reporting to the State.

Ensures that all concern and incident reports are completed, filed and that follow-up is conducted appropriately. Manages and coordinates the work of all nursing and other assisted living staff, communicating pertinent resident health and safety information. Attends all required training, in-service, and staff meetings.

Strives to maintain a safe working environment through the prevention of accidents, the preservation of equipment, and the achievement of safe working practices. Maintains a positive and professional demeanor toward residents, visitors, families, and co-workers. Adheres to all policies and procedures of PruittHealth. Performs other duties as assigned by higher level management.LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION, AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:A Bachelor's Degree from a four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.Licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) required.TRAINING, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:Must have at least three (3) to five (5) years of previous experience in long term care; hospice strongly preferredA minimum of two (2) years of supervisory and management experience is strongly preferred

You will be overseeing 1 FTE (Infection Control RN).?? The Director of Quality Services is a Registered Nurse who is responsible for coordination of performance improvement, patient safety and quality assessment activities for the Medical Center.?? Responsibilities include coordination of performance improvement activities selected by the Performance Improvement Council as areas of organizational emphasis, coordination of medical staff peer review activities; assisting with regulatory compliance with Joint Commission standards, CMS standards and NCDFSS standards; serving as the patient safety officer for the facility; and coordinating quality outcome reporting both internally and externally; serving as the assistant to the risk manager; utilizing data to implement best practices,?? performance improvement and patient safety initiatives. The Director of Quality Services must exhibit a broad range of knowledge in performance improvement, medical staff review activities, accreditation and regulatory standards, risk management, and patient safety.?? Skills must include proficiency in performance improvement tools, statistical, adult education techniques, interpersonal relations, conflict resolution, and data management and analysis.?? Excellent written and verbal communication skills and team facilitation skills are required.?? Confidentiality and support of ethical standards is critical.?? The Director of Quality Services must understand and keep abreast of the regulatory requirements in healthcare and be able to apply performance improvement and informatics principles to help meet regulatory requirements Requirements: Must be licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state of North Carolina with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing required. Master's degree in a health-related field preferred. CPHQ certification preferred A minimum of 5 years' experience in clinical nursing required as well as 3 years of management experience. Experience in performance improvement, team development and management, and statistical process is required. Effective oral and written communication skills, presentation and public speaking skills, and interpersonal skills. Experience in data analysis, reporting, project management skills and teaching.
