Summary:

The Director, Guest Retention is a data-driven, guest-centric marketer with a passion for driving results and building high-performing teams. S/he will be responsible for determining strategies to increase guest return rate and generate loyalty that translates into increased customer lifetime value. This role will be responsible for defining business objectives, strategy, and guest segmentation; leading a cross-functional team to execute an integrated go-to-market plan and manage stakeholders across multiple lines of business. This role requires strong analytical capabilities as well as the business acumen to translate data into action. This role requires strong leadership skills, and a highly developed set of marketing and general management skills that can translate into successful growth in revenue. This role will partner with the Directors of both Acquisition and Reactivation to ensure our guests remain high quality after activation, supporting the long-term health of our Retention and Loyalty programs The Director, Guest Retention is intended for high potential individuals interested in driving business results through data-driven marketing strategies.

Job Responsibilities:

Business Ownership:

  • Own and drive lift access revenue and guest repeat rate through the clearly defined business objectives, strategies, and KPIs to monitor results and performance

  • Define objectives and strategies to drive loyalty, translating to increased customer lifetime value across all guests

  • Bring the external world in, leverage best practices and innovation to drive transformation in business results

  • Leverage data to influence and align the Marketing, Sales, and Communication - Executives down to program managers/executors -on guest retention and loyalty objectives

  • Leverage data to draw clear narratives on performance and communicate business performance based on complex data sets

  • Clearly articulate and communicate business objectives and strategies to set expectations for stakeholders across the organization, including executive level audiences

Marketing Strategy

  • Lead the development of integrated guest centric retention campaigns to drive results through media, social, email, SMS, push digital, and other channels

  • Work closely with analytics and insights teams to understand drivers of guest retention and motivators to define segmentation and personalization strategies based on quantitative and qualitative data

  • Develop, optimize and evolve lifecycle marketing strategies using all channels to increase guest retention & loyalty

  • Demonstrated experience managing cross-functional projects and priorities

Leadership

  • Develop and support talent strategies and succession planning to align with cross-functional needs

Education:

  • Bachelors degree. Degree in business or related field preferred; MBA or other advanced business learning or coursework preferred

Work Experience:

  • 10+ years of relevant work experience including proven ability to successfully lead and oversee critical projects and multi-faceted efforts.

  • Experience with analyzing information and data to make decisions

  • Experience in being a self-starter and self-motivated efforts without the need for daily direction

  • Experience supporting and working with C-level executives in a business environment

  • Proven track record for problem solving, showcasing success using different skill sets

  • Leverages strong financial analysis skills and the ability to simplify and present complex information and ideas

  • Prepares executive-level presentations (e.g., content development, speaking pts, scripts, etc.)

  • Learns quickly and invests the effort and energy to learn and grow..

  • Oriented to quality and attention to detail

This includes overseeing our guest engagement and loyalty platform, CRM system, media, and marketing automation. As Director of Guest Engagement, you are dedicated to building strong relationships with Noodles guests' through a foundation of data, insights, and innovation. Responsibilities * Vision and overall strategy of the company's guest engagement program that grows guest engagement and lifetime value. * Oversight on the ideation, development and implementation of the guest engagement and CRM strategy to enhance acquisition, frequency, sales and foster brand loyalty. * Define and monitor success of programs. Identify and report on health of guest KPIs to track effectiveness of programs and assess levels of brand loyalty over time; apply learnings to continually advance and optimize CRM initiatives. * Develop customer journey mapping across platforms (site, performance marketing channels, owned channels), analyzing all touchpoints and opportunities for growth and optimization. * Responsible for working with loyalty and guest relations team to develop appropriate multichannel strategies and programs to drive revenue and frequency via actionable insights. * Cultivate a deep understanding of the Noodles' guest segments needs and motivations and develop innovative personalization strategies to increase guest engagement. * Drive a single view of the guest experience and interactions with the company, ensuring that communication is optimized in a holistic and guest-centric fashion. * Establish and measure guest engagement and loyalty goals. Set the vision for channel measurement and analytics, ensuring we are appropriately measuring performance and impact and using learnings to inform campaign planning and optimization. * Collaborate cross-functionally to understand data and reporting needs to support organizational objectives. * Be the champion of our long-term CRM strategic vision capabilities, working closely with partners, IT and Marketing channels to establish a year by year plan to achieve it. * Oversee overall media expenditures to drive sales and frequency. * Responsible for management of our agency partners, systems and channel budgets. * Develop marketing communication channel plans and briefs for integrated multi-channel CRM initiatives. Experience/Qualifications * Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience. * 8+ years of experience using Salesforce Service Cloud, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Session M or similar CRM and loyalty programs. * 6+ years in a leadership role (direct or indirect). * Loyalty program, CRM & management experience. * Must be able to think strategically and see the big picture while knowing how to execute it tactically * Excellent verbal and written communication skills that build professional internal and external relationships. * Ability to work successfully under tight deadlines, manage multiple priorities, and shift priorities in a fast-changing environment. * Strong project management/time management skills. * Demonstrates integrity and high standards by managing information and data in a professional manner. * Flexibility and dedication to work in a fast-paced and evolving organization. * Ability to use logic and reasoning to identify issues and approaches for resolution. * Ability to collaborate with multiple departments, personalities and approaches. * Demonstrated problem solving abilities to evaluate options and implement solutions. * Ability to exercise independent judgment. * Passion for the brand and desire to improve the guest engagement experience for guests and operators alike. * Previous restaurant experience preferred.
