Responsibilities:
Develops and manages a portfolio of individuals with a gift capacity ranging from at least $5,000 to $100,000 or more. Works with fundraising team to craft successful fundraising strategies for major & principal gift development. Must be available for extensive travel and variable schedules, including early morning meetings, evening engagements, and occasional weekend obligations.
Minimum Requirements:
A Bachelor's degree is required, preferably in Public Relations, Marketing, Communication, or business-related field.
A minimum of:
three (3) years of increasingly successful experience in fundraising with at least two (2) years in individual major gifts fundraising,
three (3) years of successful experience in sales, marketing, business development, financial planning, or equivalent
seven (7) years' experience in an exempt management position at UMHB that includes a high level of interaction with the community (i.e. external vendors, donors, members of the community, etc.).
Excellent public speaking and presentation skills.
Excellent writing skills, including letters and proposals.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office for Windows applications (word processing, database, spreadsheet, e-mail, presentation graphics, etc.).
Must possess exceptional time management and detail-orientation skills.
Must be available for extensive travel and variable schedules, including early morning meetings, evening engagements, and occasional weekend obligations.
Must be at least 21 years of age.
Must possess a current and valid Texas driver's license and be insurable under UMHB auto coverage.
