Kum & Go is looking for a Director of Fuel Supply & Trading to lead the development of strategy for, and ensure the execution of, procurement, distribution and trading of refined fuel products for Kum & Go. The role will mentor and develop the fuel procurement team, while encouraging a collaborative and forward thinking environment. This impactful role in our organization will execute and enhance the strategic plan for the organization's fuel procurement including commercial initiatives, management of vendor and supplier partnerships, and trading strategies. Top candidates will be energized by the challenge of creating strategy, identifying solutions to complex challenges and initiatives, and implementing new technology to facilitate our success.

What You'll Do

  • Evaluate, negotiate and manage the procurement, risk management, and transportation of gasoline, diesel and biofuel components.

  • Responsible for leading and developing a strong team that assists with successful execution of company objectives.

  • Enhances company financial performance through the execution of arbitrage, hedging and derivative strategies to reduce risk and increase margin.

  • Develops and fosters relationships with fuel suppliers, pipeline operators, and trucking companies.

  • Identifies and implements new technologies to improve the cost, reliability, or quality of the company's fuel supply chain.

  • Coordinate internal projects with partners in other areas of the organization (e.g., Business Insights & Analytics, Facilities Management, IT, Solar Transport).

  • Develop reports and presents fuel supply updates to peers, superiors, and Senior Leadership.

  • Up to 10% travel may be required at times.

What We're Looking For

  • Experience in negotiating purchase/sale of petroleum products, biofuels and hedge transactions.

Other Key Requirements

  • Knowledge or experience in the scheduling of petroleum products.

  • Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills.

  • Formal leadership experience preferred.

  • Demonstrated ability to build strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize multiple assignments to ensure completion of tasks within stated time requirements.

Enterprise Finance The Enterprise Finance organization is made-up of a group of enterprise functions that drive Wells Fargo's financial management, corporate development, corporate properties and corporate security, and corporate strategy. Controllers Division The Controllers Division delivers subject matter expertise, counsel, governance, and oversight for all Wells Fargo controllership activities to the business units and staff groups. Third Party Center of Excellence Late last year, Wells Fargo formed the Third Party Center of Excellence (COE) to manage and mitigate risks and to drive enterprise consistency in third party program execution. The COE is a foundational element to third-party risk management target operating model (TOM) developed in alignment with the new Risk Management Framework and industry-leading practices and will provide service delivery to Wells Fargo's lines of business and enterprise functions across all aspects of third party engagements, while preserving core business owners' activities. The Position This leadership role is accountable for managing the procure-to-pay (P2P) function within the Third Party COE. This team is responsible for all aspects of the procurement and payment processes of the Company and comprised of the following functions: Procurement Operations, Accounts Payable, Fixed Assets, Sales & Use Tax, and FATCA Compliance. Procure-to-Pay provides oversight to and manages the company-wide procure-to-pay program. It ensures appropriate controls are established with third party service providers and that the products and services meet Wells Fargo's standards of quality, service, and availability, while minimizing transaction processing and execution risk. Procure-to-Pay is responsible for maintaining third-party service provider listings, creating purchase orders and requisitions, leveraging third party service providers to negotiate competitive pricing, minimizing risks third party service provider non-compliance, and managing payments to third party service providers. The successful leader will partner closely with internal and external stakeholders to deliver and execute solutions and set strategic direction for the team. Driving continual improvement in processes to improve execution quality and efficiency are paramount to the role. In addition, the leader will be responsible for the management, recruitment, and development of the broader group of Team Members within the vertical. Additional leadership efforts may include responsibilities related to financial and management reporting, performance management, hiring, and operational oversight.
