Reporting to the Director of Equipment/Operations/Facilities, this position is responsible for all equipment operations for the football program in a manner that reflects the philosophy and objectives of the department and university. Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Provide equipment support for the football program (ordering, fitting, inventory, laundry, repair).

  • Assist with facility and event set-up.

  • Establish and implement guidelines for football equipment rooms.

  • Communicate with coaches and administrative team to determine equipment needs and prepare annual budget.

  • Ensure bidding and procurement process is in accordance with NDSU and State policies.

  • Supervise all game and practice preparations as well as field management.

  • Supervise graduate assistant and student workers.

Advertised Salary:

Commensurate with qualifications and experience.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree.

  • AEMA Certification or certifiable within one year of hire.

  • 2 years related work experience in an athletic equipment room.

  • Experience in the proper fitting of protective equipment.

  • Effective written and oral communication skills.

  • Excellent organizational skills.

  • Proficient computer/word processing skills.

  • Ability to work well with others and independently.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior experience working with the NDSU football program.

  • Experience at a Division I FBS school.

  • Experience with Sportsoft inventory program.

  • Supervising full-time or student workers in an athletic equipment room setting.

  • 4 years related work experience.
