Position Overview

Reporting to our CFO, the Director of Financial Planning & Analysis is a key member of our team. The individual in this role will have broad exposure to our business; working closely with senior leadership to provide analysis which will support solid business decisions and help our business to grow.

This individual should be high-energy and curious, and demonstrate an initiative to learn the business.

Essential Functions, Duties & Accountabilities

  • Act as a finance partner for CEO's direct reports to collaborate in the development of financial analysis and other support.

  • Develop, monitor, and analyze financial information, KPI trends, product performance, and other key business metrics to identify, evaluate, and make recommendations to maximize revenue and EBITDA growth and drive efficiencies.

  • Lead the consolidation of financial budgets and forecasts, perform variance analysis on actual results.

  • Lead the preparation of monthly consolidated financial operation package for presentation to executive leadership team.

  • Lead all corporate financial activities surrounding the annual and quarterly budgeting and forecasting processes.

  • Lead analysis and reporting for the company's incentive compensation plans.

  • Provide ad hoc analyses to support both current and potential future strategic scenarios and related financial impact to the business (metrics, financial modeling, etc.).

  • Participate in cross-functional teams to analyze business cases for key business unit initiatives.

  • Manipulate data from multiple sources to ensure analytics and reporting needs are met across the organization.

  • Proactively identify opportunities for process improvement within the scope of your primary responsibilities, with emphasis on innovation and planning for scalability of the organization.

  • Participate in analysis surrounding any M&A, financing, or other strategic activities undergone by the company.

  • Other duties as assigned to meet departmental goals.

Educational Requirements

  • Four year college degree in Finance, Accounting, or similar is required.
  • CPA, MBA, and/or CMA preferred.

Experience and Skills

  • 7+ years of Finance-related and analysis experience

  • Highly analytical and strategic thinker

  • Experience in multi-channel direct response marketing environment preferred

Specialized Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Ability to read, analyze and effectively communicate information both in verbal and written form.

  • Ability to think, act, and work independently with high attention to detail and strong analytical skills.

  • Ability to organize, prioritize and multi-task while taking ownership of tasks and seeing them through to completion and meet necessary deadlines.

  • Ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with all levels of employees, management, and ownership to maximize performance, creativity, problem solving, and results.

  • Solid work ethic and critical thinker.

  • Willing and excited to work in a fast-paced environment.

  • Advanced Microsoft Excel experience

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, PowerPoint, Outlook, & Access.

  • Experience with Multiview, Ecometry, Hyperion, or similar a plus.

This position operates at a specific school age site. The incumbent provides high quality recreational experiences for children that focus on the YMCA core values: honesty, respect, responsibility, and caring. Essential Functions: * Plan, develop, supervise, and implement the program activities at the site. * Manage curriculum planning for the site. * Develop and distribute parent communications. * Assist with the promotion of the Branch and school age child care programs to the community. * Make ongoing systematic observations and evaluations of each child. * Obtain and update all registrations, contracts, release forms, and emergency forms that pertain to administration of the school age child program at the site. * Maintain required program records such as attendance, daily schedules, and rosters. * Manage site budget. * May hire and supervise staff. * Maintain CACFP and Minnesota Department of Health Licensing for meals and snacks, if applicable. Competencies: * Values * Inclusion * Developing Others * Relationships * Quality Results * Decision Making * Communication Requirements Qualifications: Required: * Minimum age of 21. * Minimum of two (2) years of previous experience working in a professional child care or school aged program. * Education in child development, child guidance, human relations, or recreational programs and/or equivalent experience. * Excellent skills in planning activities for various ages, staff supervision and development, communication, organization, and human relations. * Adult and child CPR or CPR/PR, First Aid, and AED Certifications within 30 days of hire date. * Commitment to working with school age children in a recreational setting. * Ability to work with diverse populations. Preferred: * Degree in education or recreation. * Minimum of one (1) year of previous supervisory experience. Work Conditions: * Must be able to actively participate in youth games/activities which include getting in the water during swimming. * Ability to travel locally to YMCA branches and other program sites. * Perform all physical aspects of the position, including moving around, bending, reaching, and lifting up to 50 pounds at a time. * Ability to recognize and react calmly and effectively in hazardous/dangerous situations. * Must be able to remain alert in warm to hot environment for prolonged period which may include indoor pool, outdoor activities, bus rides, etc… * May provide children with assistance in dealing with issues such as personal hygiene, medical needs, toileting, lifting, writing, feeding, and getting in or out of transportation. * May be exposed to verbal outbursts, physical actions or bodily fluids as part of the child care environment.
