Our client, a top Venture Capital Fund, is looking for a Director of Finance to join its growing team. You will drive financial planning and management reporting processes, and supports senior management with analysis and insight into financial performance.

Additionally you will help to facilitate decision making at a senior level to drive portfolio company performance. You will leverage your prior accounting and finance experience to work alongside executives, portfolio companies and internal teams including accounting, operations and investor relations.The ideal candidate for this position thrives in a role where integrity, reliability and leadership are valued.

? Support the Venture Capital Fund's financial forecasting and strategic planning; prepare monthly/quarterly review package with trends and variance analysis; monitor project expenses and operating costs ? Work alongside CFOs of portfolio companies in reviewing financial results; coordinate quarterly performance review; conduct due diligence and fair value assessments ? Work alongside Accounting team assisting with financial reporting and month-end closing activities ? Work closely with Controller and Accounting Policy to ensure sound accounting practices for funds ? Provide various financial analyses and present to senior management team The full-time Director of Finance position is situated in the Menlo Park, California area.

Job Summary / Major Responsibilities: * Target a diverse portfolio of clients across various industry verticals with the primary responsibility for covering MUFG's Technology and West Coast clients * Explore & originate new business opportunities through marketing activities and contribute to the growth of the Supply Chain Finance business in terms of assets, market share and revenue * Build and maintain deep client relationships at the appropriate client manager levels and working in collaboration with other MUFG product and client coverage teams * Build a strong rapport with internal MUFG Client Coverage and Relationship Managers to identify and solve client's working capital needs and develop structuring ideas to address specific client needs. * Promote the Supply Chain Finance business internally within MUFG and create an environment for leveraging operational efficiencies to existing and new clients. * Perform related duties and participate in special projects as required by the business Qualifications: Qualifications * A minimum of a four-year college degree, e.g., B.A., or B.S. * More than 10 years of experience in general corporate banking with at least 5 years of specific knowledge in Supply Chain Finance, related programs with proven track record of meaningful deals closed is a decisive asset * Direct experience originating and executing both receivable and payable transactions with experience with distributor finance programs preferable * Entrepreneurial spirit with a vision and experience to build up a business portfolio * Ability to work independently and remotely while collaborating with the SCF team members in New York and Chicago * Excellent oral and written presentation and negotiation skills with working knowledge of legal documentation around both receivable and payable programs * Strong analytical skills surrounding both credit and operations * Thorough understanding of international banking credit and non-credit products, documentation as well as strong knowledge in corporate finance * Some form of formal credit training is highly-desirable * Good organizational skills, with the ability to multitask and good interpersonal business relationship, communication capabilities and ability to work in a dynamic and diverse team environment The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed.
