Responsible for supporting for the day to day operations of the general ledger, internal controls, transaction processing, grants management and technical compliance required to ensure accurate and timely consolidated financial statements. Provide oversight of all finance, accounting and reporting activities and support financial decision-making information by collecting, analyzing, investigating, and reporting financial data.

Work with the CFO to develop, implement and maintain systems to operate the Finance Department in an effective, efficient and financially sound manner. Maintain financial systems in compliance with federal, state and local requirements. Serves as Controller for the organization. This position reports to the Chief Financial Officer.

Employment Status: Full-Time, Salaried

Typical Hours of Employment: Monday - Friday 8a to 5p

Qualifications
4 year degree in Business, Accounting, or Finance from accredited college or university required. Three years audit or financial reporting experience required. Highly proficient at Microsoft Excel and generally computer proficient. CPA and CYMA Accounting experience preferred. Must possess valid Kansas Drivers License, in force automobile liability insurance and maintain a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) that meets organizations insurability standard as defined by Midland policy.

Individual must wear appropriate business attire and spends virtually all of the time inside.

A DAY IN THE LIFE OF OUR DON: * Provides quality oversight in collaboration with site, regional and corporate leadership. Provides clinical supervision to nursing staff. Implements appropriate work structure and processes to accomplish goals for patient care. * Evaluates the patient care delivery processes on a regular, systematic and frequent basis. Provides written reports to regional team and client as scheduled or requested * Facilitates the development of site performance improvement plans and monitors site progress and reporting. * Facilitates the completion of random and scheduled audits to assess site compliance with contractual requirements, accreditation standards and continuous quality safety improvement (CQSI) opportunities. * Conducts at minimum annual accreditation readiness audits to assess compliance with standards and identify opportunities for improvement. * Develops monthly schedule for nursing staff and nursing support staff and ensures that sufficient number of nursing staff are scheduled on each shift with the appropriate skill level. * Conducts at minimum monthly staff meetings in collaboration with site leadership. * Acts as a liaison with other operating units, agencies and outside officials. Ensures nursing records are correctly maintained. * Anticipates healthcare delivery and contractual issues and deals with potential issues proactively. Bachelor or Masters Degree in Nursing preferred. * Current, unrestricted, non-probationary status license as a Registered Nurse in the state where the position is located. * Current Basic Life Support/CPR Certification at the Medical Professional Level with AED Training. American Heart Association is the preferred source, but American Red Cross is acceptable. * Specialty certification in correctional healthcare is desired (Certified Correctional Health Professional: CCHP, Certified Correctional Health Professional Nurse: CCHP-RN). * Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience in a healthcare setting, with correctional healthcare experience is preferred * Previous clinical operations management experience is preferred; previous direct management experience within a correctional health setting is desired * Knowledge of accreditation standards (NCCHC, ACA & state-specific) as well as experience with quality improvement programs and clinical auditing preferred * Knowledge of Excel, Word, Outlook, Sharepoint and PowerPoint required Corizon Health provides patients with high quality healthcare and reentry services that will reduce recidivism and better the communities where we live and work.
