The Finance Director will partner with Brand senior management teams to grow the overall business. They will ensure forecasting (revenue, margin, profit) for the business is accurate and accurately reflects market dynamics by incorporating sales and cost forecasting spanning across the business. They will provide strategic consultation and collaborate with the Brand Leader and their SLT on setting the commercial finance direction for the brand, including developing pricing strategies, profit improvement programs, risk management and mitigation strategies, etc.

Specific accountabilities include:

  • Inspire and lead a team of commercial finance professionals (both on-shore and off-shore) in order to deliver NA Finance goals and objectives. Ensure the team has the right capabilities to meet fast-changing business needs.

  • Continually review and evaluate opportunities for continuous improvement in all financial processes to ensure robust financial controls are deployed consistently across the brand and financial risks are appropriately managed and mitigated. Implement changes to ensure the most effective and efficient processes.

  • Partner with business leadership team to help drive growth by ensuring preparation and analysis of operational and financial reports.

  • Researches market & industry trends and correlates into strategic insights and guidance and presents to business leadership to identify opportunities to accelerate profitable growth.

Required Experience:

  • 10 years Finance experience; 5 years in Finance leadership capacity

  • Bachelor's Degree

  • Experience supporting commercial leaders in finance capacity

Nice to Have:

  • MBA or graduate level degree

  • Experience building best in class commercial finance processes & procedures

Lead finance person for the South Central US Service Zone, serving as a business partner to the operating team to drive business initiatives, growth, business strategy, and profitability. Reports to the CFO, US & Canada Service with a dotted line to the Zone Service General Manager, South Central. Essential Responsibilities:· Act as a strategic business partner to South Central GM and their team to set mission, vision, and goals for the organization, and help define priorities. * Analyze revenue and margin and translate findings to profitable growth strategy through actions each operational leader can execute daily. * Collaborate with commercial, field service, and operations to drive profitable growth, launch variable cost productivity actions, and identify & track key metrics while advising the leadership team on risks, opportunities, and actions. * Develop estimates and annual operating plans in partnership with the Zone Commercial and Operational leaders. * Lead effort across the zone to drive past due improvements and resolve significant collections issues with customers. * Contribute to improving efficiencies and performance as well as providing quality financial information. * Develop and improve financial processes: Finance reporting tools, Management reporting tools, budgeting and estimating processes. * Assist with management reporting (regional and segment P&L's) and communicate results to managers. * Drive consistent usage of Business Intelligence (B.I.) tools across GE Healthcare USCAN. Develop new reports for process improvements. * Responsible for quarterly closing ensuring accuracy of reported results, operational accountability and business controllership. * Drive consistency in work across the Regional Operations Managers (dotted line support) in order to ensure execution of estimates, planning and key operational improvement programs Quality Specific Goals: 1. Fluency in English 6. Confidence / Assertiveness: strong influencing skills across business functions; confidence to approach business leaders with difficult messages and defend position; for example, work closely with business leaders to achieve business objectives while driving controllership/GE Values 6. Experience working in global business environment with sound understanding of global process and transactional flows 7.
