We're looking for a Director of Finance and Accounting who is passionate about technology and loves challenges.
In this role, you will oversee the general finance and accounting function at SaltStack, reporting to the CEO. You will be involved both in the day-to-day management as well as the high-level strategy of the company's financial planning and accounting. At times, you may be asked to oversee parts of the HR function.
Ensure that company financial records are maintained accurately and in compliance with GAAP standards
Ensure that company forecasts are maintained accurately in order to be used to make key company decisions
Build and manage departmental budgets
Manage annual audit process
Oversee invoicing, AR / AP, banking, taxes, commission payments, and all other day-to-day finance / accounting tasks
Design and implement internal controls to help identify and protect from waste
7+ years of experience in finance and accounting
A degree in finance, accounting, or equivalent field
Excellent communication skills and ability to think critically about the business
Experience with accounting and CRM systems (QB Online, Salesforce.com, and ProRata are a plus)
Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel
CPA or public accounting background strongly preferred
Experience in a high-growth startup; not afraid of a blank canvas
Strong understanding of ASC-606
Travel and Location Requirements:
This position will be required to work out of the Lehi, Utah, office.
No relocation packages are available for this position.
This position may involve periodic travel to conferences or customer sites, but this travel is rare.
