Monmouth University is seeking applications for a Director of Field Placement in the Professional Counseling department.
The candidate would be expected to: develop, coordinate and approve graduate student clinical placements; maintain and update files of available clinical sites each semester; handle all correspondence with prospective and current clinical sites.
This is an in-person, on-campus, non-remote position.
This position is located at the Monmouth University Graduate Center located at Monmouth Park Corporate Center.

Master's Degree in clinical mental health counseling or a related field, preferably from a CACREP accredited program.
New Jersey Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) credential or license-eligible.
New Jersey Licensed Clinical Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LCADC) credential or license-eligible
Must be willing and available to work a flexible schedule, including some evenings.
Demonstrated commitment to social justice.
Knowledge of and ability to use Tevera (education management platform)
Preferred Qualifications
Supervisory experience.
Approved Clinical Supervisor (ACS) credential.

Maintain qualifications (inclusive of credentials and trainings) of site supervisors to determine minimum supervision requirements.

Actively recruit additional appropriate clinical sites.

Oversee and evaluate appropriateness of clinical sites, visiting each site a minimum of once per academic year.

Improve data collection procedures and database for recording and reporting hours.

Must have extensive knowledge of LPC and LCADC licensure requirements in New Jersey. Monitor New Jersey licensing board meeting minutes. Be the liaison to report any new regulations. Be the correspondence liaison for any state licensure requests including, but not limited to,verifying field placement hours for licensure in all states.

Develop, market, and coordinate programs for counselors and other mental health professionals as part of the continuing education process including but not limited to our biannual conference, "From our Own" series, and other opportunities to provide NBCC CEUs. Serve as NBCC liaison and coordinator for CEUs and CPCE.

Continuously improve the communication capabilities within the Department and between the Department and supporting communities outside the Department and the University, such as, a departmental newsletter. Perform Community Outreach: counseling community, potential students and alumni. Manage social media, including but not limited to, Facebook pages for communicating with current students and alumni, Linked-In groups and Instagram, and perform webpage maintenance.

Coordinate alumni listserv and maintain relationships with alumni. Coordinate alumni association outcomes assessment. Maintain CAC and SOJAC alumni relations.
