Director of Family and Community Housing Services

Position Summary:
Under the direction of the Senior Vice President of Programs, the Director of Family and Community Housing Services will supervise all programmatic and operational elements of our housing programs. This includes Scattered-Site Permanent Supportive Housing, family permanent housing programs, Homeless Prevention Services, and Rapid Rehousing. The Director is responsible for budget accountability, personnel management, and ensuring the delivery of essential services. This position is part of the leadership team.

The Position: Our client is looking for a Director of Family and Community Housing Services and is offering the following benefits package:

Qualifi
cations Required:

  • Master’s Degree in Social Work (MSW) or Related Field
  • Proficiency in Oral and Written English; Spanish Preferred, Other Languages a Plus (E.g., Creole)
  • Minimum of Five Years’ Experience Working with Homeless and/or Underserved Populations, Including Three Years in a Supervisory Role in Housing or Related Services
  • Working Knowledge of the Homeless Continuum of Care System, Performance Outcomes, HMIS, Standards of Care, and Funding Sources
  • Successful Completion of a Toxicology Test, Level 2 Background Screening, and OIG
  • Valid Florida Driver’s License with a Clean Driving Record
  • Legal Authorization to Work in the U.S. Full-Time

  • CPA License and Non-Profit Experience
  • Excellent Communication Skills, Strategic Thinker, Business Acumen, and Strong Knowledge of Excel, ERP, and MIP Software
  • Cultural Sensitivity to the Needs of Vulnerable Populations
  • Strong Organizational, Interpersonal, and Communication Skills
  • Ability to Work Independently and with Multidisciplinary Teams
  • High Level of Productivity and Professionalism Under Pressure

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee Day-to-Day Operations of Assigned Programs
  • Formulate and Implement Program Goals and Objectives
  • Develop and Implement Program Policies and Procedures
  • Monitor Staff Adherence to Organizational Policies and Procedures
  • Foster Innovative Thinking, Cooperation, and Service Integration
  • Hire, Train, and Supervise Program Staff, Promoting Professional Growth and Teamwork
  • Develop and Sustain Community Partnerships
  • Ensure Compliance with Federal, State, Local, and Agency Policies and Regulations
  • Develop and Update Training Materials and Program Manuals
  • Supervise Personnel, Ensuring Staff Development and Empowerment
  • Plan, Monitor, and Analyze Program Budgets
  • Maintain Compliance with Program Contracts and Regulatory Agreements
  • Respond to Stakeholders’ Inquiries Promptly and Professionally
  • Participate in the Agency’s Emergency Response Team
  • Perform Other Duties as Assigned

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

  • Physical Demands Include Standing, Walking, Using Hands/Fingers, and Occasionally Lifting/Moving Up to 25 Lbs.
  • The Work Environment Noise Level Ranges from Low to Moderate
  • Non-Remote Position; Full-Time, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
  • Ability to Work a Flexible Schedule, Including Evenings, Weekends, Holidays, and On-Call as Needed
