Position Summary Under the direction of Vice President of Facilities Asset Management, plans, organizes, directs and controls the activities and staff involved in the coordination, modification, maintenance and administration of SMHC organization-wide facilities, plant equipment and #off-site facilities.


The Director


, establishes goals, objectives, and standards of performance.# The Director develops, implements and oversees operating and capital budgets;#operating policies and procedures and#interprets policies, standards, regulations and codes to personnel and contracted services.# # The Director has on-call responsibility for all operational aspects of the Department.# Organizes department structure and develops short and long term goals and objectives for the department in consultation with the Vice President.# The position provides direct supervision to the Facility Operations Managers, while supporting staff and ensuring the maintenance of a safe and secure environment across all the organization#s facilities (approximately 40). # Experience with Joint Commission and CMS highly preferred. # Maintains leases and landlord/tenant relations at all SMHC locations in conjunction with responsibilities assigned by Vice President of Support Services. # Maintains organizational service fleet vehicles for all locations. # Serves on Management Team and various administrative committees as deemed appropriate by Vice President. Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs) A well rounded knowledge of healthcare facilities design, construction, administration and maintenance as may be acquired by a Bachelor#s degree in#Engineering or a related technical discipline preferred.# Minimum of five years total maintenance experience in a healthcare setting to include two years in a leadeship role.# Valid driver#s license required.

Certified Healthcare Facility Manager (CHFM) preferred. Computer experience in Microsoft Office required. Ability to read schematics and maintenance or other related proposals. Familiarity with BAS, CMMS and other facility software control systems
