J&S Audio Visual has an opportunity available for a Director of Audio Visual/Event Technology inside a DFW Marriott located in Irving, TX. The Director is responsible for managing the day to day audio visual duties and operations at a specific hotel location. This hotel is also used as one of training hotels for Techs and new Directors so we are looking for a Leader who is willing to mentor and train up associates.

Job Duties:

Interact with the hotel staff to maximize effectiveness of our sales and service and exceed our customers expectations

Responsible for the management daily setup and strike of the audio visual equipment for meetings and events

Manage the Audio Visual contractors, as needed

Inventory control

Timely and accurate billing and invoicing

Responsible for internet functions for events

Interface with operational departments

Maintain high visibility within assigned location

  • Other duties assigned

Basic Qualification/Experience:

Minimum of 1 year Director or Sales Manager or Operations Manager of Audio Visual experience working inside a hotel or convention center
3 years or more Audio Visual Technician work experience and working knowledge of audio visual operations is required

Technical experience to handle event production management

Excellent organizational skills

Good communicator and motivator

Excellent computer/IT skills

Strong customer service skills

Professional demeanor and presentation

Detail oriented

Articulate in communicating ideas, concepts, and directions clearly and concisely

Must be able to manage and work with others on many different levels
