The Director of Environmental Services leads a team of professionals dedicated to ensuring a safe and well-maintained environment for Orchard Place clients, visitors and employees. This position directly supervises the maintenance, housekeeping, laundry, vehicles and contract services functions of Orchard Place as well as manages all capital projects.

• Enjoy a competitive benefits and time off package. Annual salary is $80,000 - $85,000, with adjustments made to compensate for experience.

• Have your employment at Orchard Place qualify for the Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF). The PSLF forgives the remaining balance on you federal Direct Loans after you make 120 qualifying monthly payments under a qualifying repayment plan while working full time for a qualifying public service employer (such as Orchard Place).

What you will do:

• Oversee the maintenance services of our facilities, vehicles and grounds. These services include scheduling maintenance projects; providing preventative maintenance of equipment, furnishings and facilities; providing for all necessary repairs; and maintaining safety and fire prevention standards as designated by regulatory bodies.

• Oversee the housekeeping and laundry services as well as security services including access controls for all facilities.

• Manage contracts for general maintenance services.

• Provide supervision and evaluation of staff within their assigned functions.

• Manage the maintenance help desk function and monitor for timely responses from the team.

• Oversee and manage the purchase of supplies, furniture, equipment and other related items.

• Prepare and maintain a long-term capital budget. Manage all capital projects, including solicitation of bids as needed.

• Maintain in-depth knowledge of all Orchard Place operations and respond to environmental needs of Orchard Place mangement and staff. Serve as the Orchard Place Safety Officer.

• Oversee Orchard Place's Joint Commission accreditation requirements related to the environment of care and safety.

• Participate in the Safety Committee and other committes as needed.

• Provide excellent communication regarding environmental matters to the Chief Financial Officer as well as other senior managment members and board members as needed.

• High school diploma or GED. Associate's or bachelor's degree preferred.

• 8-10 years of progressively responsible experience, including at least 3 years of supervisory experience.

• Must have the necessary skills and experience to perform tasks required to maintain the facilities of Orchard Place, including construction management and proficient knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and Direct Digital Control (DDC).

• Must demonstrate proficiency with computers and spreadsheet software and must demonstrate past experience in managing a variety of tasks, responsibilities and deadlines with attention to detail.

• Valid driver's license and driving record that meets agency guidelines
