Ivy Tech - Bloomington is looking for an individual to join our team as the Director of Enrollment Services (ESO). As the Director of ESO, you'll lead a dynamic team dedicated to supporting students throughout their academic journey. The Director of ESO oversees daily operations of the Enrollment Services Office, guiding Enrollment Specialists, Desk Team Members, and support staff to ensure seamless transitions from application to the first weeks of classes. This role reports directly to the Vice Chancellor of Enrollment Services and Student Success.

Sick Time: 3.7 hours each pay (paid every two weeks).

Vacation Time: 5.34 each pay for first 2 years, then increases to 6.15 after 2 years.

9 Paid holidays: New Years Day, Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, Memorial Day, Juneteenth National Independence Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Friday after Thanksgiving, Christmas Day.

Winter recess: The College also observes an official closing of 4 standard work week days between the observed Christmas Day and New Year's Day holidays. This is known as Winter Recess.

Major Responsibilities

  • Cultivates a team-based atmosphere with the goal of providing high-quality customer services to students, faculty, and staff.

  • Provide ongoing training for all ESO and Desks Team Staff

  • Attend and participate in statewide Enrollment Services related meetings.

  • Coordinate all communication, interactions, and problem-solving involving ESO. Includes planning of departmental communication to students and maintenance of the department landing page on the College website and Bloomington Support Services landing page

  • Engage with functional staff and faculty to ensure open lines of communication.

  • Prepare weekly, monthly, and annual reports as requested with the use of Ivy Analytics (Tableau) and Ivy Connect (Salesforce)

  • Maintain proper internal controls and ensure compliance with college policies and procedures.

  • Helps support special population programs, such as Ivy Achieves and Hoosier Link, through collaborative partnerships across departments and with external partners.

  • 30% of the time in position may require student caseload management in Ivy Connect through targeted outreach to newly admitted students to coach them through their next steps and help prepare them for the first day of class. This may include:

  • Answer questions and assist students with processes related to assessment questions and reviewing/applying assessment waivers.

  • First Semester Advising: Advising students, maintaining current knowledge on degree programs, prerequisites, and other advising or course information necessary to provide accurate course scheduling.

  • Registration of courses, general financial aid assistance, and providing referrals to support services and resources.

Minimum Qualifications:

● Bachelor's degree

● 2 years of experience required in at least one of the four major service areas (Admissions, Advising,

Registration and Financial Aid)

● Strong communicator; exceptional interpersonal and oral/written communication skills, with a proven ability to positively interact with customers, students, staff, or faculty

● Strong administrative and computer skills. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office & G Suite

● Ability to take initiative and complete tasks

● Ability to exercise independent judgment related to college policies and develop appropriate processes and procedures as needed/preferred.

● Flexibility to attend events after normal working hours or on weekends

● Prefers to work in a team environment

Preferred Qualifications:

● Master's degree
