Department Admissions Job Purpose
The Director of Enrollment Operations and Information Systems is primarily responsible for management, administration, and deployment of admissions technology, specifically Slate and Banner. The role requires a cross-functional and high-level oversight of enhancements to existing and new functionality. Within Slate they will be serving as the Slate Captain, and working with all aspects of the system to support the enrollment goals of the university.
Essential Duties
Responsible for maintaining a state-of-the-art knowledge of best practices, policies and procedures in the field of admissions technology.
Supervise non-exempt staff supporting undergraduate admissions and Information System Specialist for Admissions and Enrollment
Perform day to day technology support and maintenance, work with a functional team to maintain and develop solutions to complex problems in Slate
Serve as a key member of the Enrollment Management Leadership Team.
Lead ongoing development, implementation and maintenance of new Slate features and initiatives.
Maintain and enhance various aspect of the Slate system including events, forms, source formats, rules, communication, workflows, origin sources and others.
Develop and maintain advanced portals for prospective students in various stages of the enrollment funnel and other stakeholders.
Oversees and maintains system integrations, data feeds and import source coding, including student search, application data, application materials, and other data imports.
Continually improve work processes using admissions systems to maximize efficiency and functionality.
Train and provide on-going support and troubleshooting to Admissions staff on Slate functionality.
Manage system access, facilitate timely Slate training, and audit permissions for admissions staff and stakeholder users.
Develop and monitor statistical reports to support strategic enrollment goals, enhance recruitment strategies, manage yield, forecast enrollment, and improve operational efficiency
Review, analyze, and accurately report admissions statistics, current enrollment trends, and national admissions practices to other campus divisions/offices including academics, financial aid, residence life and student life
Serve as key member of data reporting team responsible for providing precise and valuable undergraduate data to the AVP/VP for quarterly Board of Trustees and ad-hoc reporting.
Oversee and support quality control efforts of admissions processes ensuring data integrity in both Slate and Banner systems.
Collaborate with campus partners to utilize Slate for yield and onboarding initiatives.
Serve as liaison to Information Technology and other campus-wide technology workgroups.
Manage external surveys including College Board Big Futures, AACSB, Peterson's and AICUP.
With Communications team, assist in the development and automation of communications plan through the CRM and other third-party applications, as necessary
Additional Skills Required
Familiarity with SQL and CSS languages, and relational databases including Banner and other recruitment systems
Strong reasoning and analytical skills and the ability to define problems, collect data, make well-thought-through recommendations
Proven track record of exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
Strong analytical, written, and verbal communication skills
Familiarity with enrollment management theory, including best practices in admissions and financial aid
Ability to learn quickly, to multi-task and to also work independently
Strong commitment to continuous process improvement and customer service.

Minimum Education Requirements
Preferred Education
Minimum Job Experience Requirements
Five (5) years' Admission or enrollment-related job experience
Advanced knowledge of Slate CRM or other relevant experience
Supervisory or project management experience
Experience with customer service
Commitment to ongoing professional development
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of Jesuit education, The University of Scranton, and/or higher education administration experience a plus
Familiarity with Banner and Argos is preferred
Years of Experience 5 University Classification Professional FLSA Classification Exempt Schedule/Work Hours Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Additional hours as required. Full Time/Part Time Full-Time Annual Schedule 12
