Job Summary:

  • Provide leadership and management to assure the team achieves product development goals that supports company business objectives
  • Create an environment that maximizes team retention and job satisfaction
  • Participate in the overall management of the entire engineering team
  • Provide stakeholder visibility and clarity of the teams goals, progress, and accomplishments

Responsibilities:

  • Reports to the Vice President of Engineering
  • Hire, manage, mentor, and develop an engineering team
  • Implement Agile processes and practices as established in the engineering team
  • Promote and train engineers in engineering best practices
  • Provide architectural and technical guidance for team members
  • Participate in the global management of the entire engineering team
  • Work directly with Product Management to translate requirements into concrete implementation plans
  • Provide career growth opportunities and guidance to team members
  • Additional duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • B.S. or M.S. degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
  • 10+ years of experience leading a team of 5-10 engineers
  • 5+ years of experience with Java Technology for Web Application highly desired
  • Strong foundation in software architecture and design
  • Leadership in progressive software development practice and evaluation and analysis with the ability and desire to improve processes
  • Ability to work collaboratively with other engineers and senior professionals across functions; and have strong influencing and leadership skills.
